MJ Tribute

GW could do a tribute weekend to Michael Jackson. All /dance would be a full MJ routine. Maybe do one routine for males and a different one for females.

Yeah, I suggested that female necros get together or something in gtob a few hours ago on the thread about him in off-topic, but half-heartedly. It'd be hard to organize the community for something like this.

Most players probably wouldn't come. There's an overload of MJ tributes on the news right now. People are already calling into stations saying they're tired of hearing it.

Besides, there's nothing in it for the players. You'd have better luck announcing it in a random district. People would probably participate for the fun of it then.

Sorry, but what connection did Michael Jackson have to Guild Wars? Other than soem dance animations being used, there is no connection. Maybe GW could do a tribute weekend for Farah Fawcett too? Hell, any celebrity who dies will have at least 1 GW player who would appreciate a tribute..... but that doesn't mean it would make any sense.

A rash of poorly made GW videos with female necros and/or male paragons dancing to whichever MJ tune takes your fancy on YouTube.... go for it.

An official in game tribute to the King of pop, master of color changing skin, lover of young (and intoxicated) children.... really NOT appropriate.

How is it not? MJ is literally a god of the world of music. Even if people are stupid enough to believe rumors about him, it doesn't change the fact that he is a great person and a little memorial for him would be epic.

I agree with everyone else pretty much, if you want to have a tribute gather up some buddies and do it. Michael Jackson had nothing to do with Guild Wars. If he did, I'm sure lots of people wouldn't play it. I know some that wouldn't. The only reference to him is two dance emotes, but then there are references to Trogdor, Monty Python, etc. Should we also have tributes to them too just because something in the game is named after them or reference to them? I think not, unless you do it with just your guild or actual friends that want to. /not signed

NTY he was ok and I grew up with his music too but has nothing to do with GW so if you want do something special in your own Guild hall go ahead and remember him that way.
We need the team fixing GW,the skills,tournaments,GW2 etc etc etc
