Just a concept, but i feel rather limited putting only general or 1e profession insignas on my armor.
Would be nice if i could put insignas on armor from my 2e profession..
(i say insignas not Runes for now / altho i would love to be able to try that out also).
Seeing the changing armor thing thread sortoff died befor i resurrected it, i would like to not like start that discussion all over again in this thread.
If you want to say anything about Switching armor use said thread. But as the two are clearly related i felt the urge to point it out...
2nd Profession Insignas on Armor

Actually skills like dragon stomp/earthquake could have a faster casting time and longer knockdown, because right now they are useless. Pve is all about dps and aoe, in pvp ... nevermind.
This is why you thoroughly explain and think out a thread first, even wordpad rough drafts are useful :P
Yeah im sorry about that, but i have saved up so many things it all gushing out and this also seems to spark new idears atm. but to put it in Items and Professions:
For me as a necro, currently burning like crisp paper is my main concern and i appart from trying to send fire back there isnt much i can do about it. So i was thinking, if my Secondairy profession is Ranger, i can use the +15vs fire Pyrebound Insigna's. Or if i play with a secondairy Monk, i can use the +10vs Ele Wanderes Insigna's on my armor.
I other words, im looking for more ways to buff myself in area's i am weak.

I like the diversity in Characters created by only allowing Insignia's for the primary profession. Making them available to secondaries too, would make all the profession specific ones void.
In your example, +15 vs Fire is only for Ranger's secondary, because they are attuned to nature and know how to lessen nature damage. This just doesn't fit with the Necro.
Each profession has it's own strength and weaknesses, which need to be dealt with using stuff at hand, not by inventing new mechanics.

This would be like being able to use the primary attribute of the secondary proessions.
Primary attribute and armor define characters. So they must be kept primary-only. |
virtuoso: aka do not use fast casting. then why play memser then?
artificer: who runs a ton of signets?
prodigy: forces you to use over half your bar for armor.
Virtuoso: Aka, don't stop to wand, keep casting.
Artificicer: There are ACTUALLY working builds with only or almost only signets. Usually with skills that recharge all isgnets or benefit from many signets.
Prodigy: Have you seen Mesmer skill recharges? It's a mircale to actually have something not rechargin after a while with some skills. 45 second recharge signets, geez...
But, as with many caster professions, sometime sjust Survivor or Radiant are better.
