Dwarven Boxing Go PvP
Devastating Flames
i think that if guild wars maid an arena for the dwarven boxing that it would be very fun and a alot would go to it. 1V1 punching one another with brass nuckles. that would be asome and a new PvP since the next concept update is dedicated to PvP. What do you all think?

Whoever has the lowest ping wins. Sure sounds like fun.
It's been suggested before, but search is down.

Meh I dunno if everyone had the same skill bar as in Kilroys I think it would be boring. Maybe if they added more variety of skills it may be intersting.

I'm sorry but, damn that was a stupid comment. PvE is not unique from PvP because it has killroys punchout tournament...
I like the idea, any new PvP formats are sorely needed. Theres been nothing since nightfall.
And this would be a realistic thing to implement. They already have an arena, most skills AND the coding to restrict certain builds to certain proffesions (as seen in the costume brawl). Its just a case of putting it together and making an outpost in the PvP isles.

Actually, this isn't that bad of an idea. (Psst, this belongs in Sard. )
I don't really PVP but this could be interesting. To keep it interesting, maybe spawn random punching builds each time for each person so it won't all be the same. Otherwise someone might get a system and know how to beat it using the skills, and then they could get in a match against someone else who does. Could be a battle that lasts for hours.
So yes, give everyone different skills and it would be cool. However, I'd much rather they focus on Guild Wars 2 and XTH.

Having set builds/layouts is a very good idea and anet mentioned they would probably bring it into HB. However this and polymock should never be brought to pvp as it all depends on luck, ping and what ever 'meta layouts' are found more than skill. Maybe for GW2 when they make the game mechanics less stale.

If Dwarven Boxing Go PvP...........Anet needs a whole lot more boxing skills, otherwise things will get boring really fast, even with a pvp arena. But the idea is pretty good, and if anet will let it happen in a miniature city of something like LA, Yak's Bend....etc, then it'd be really, really good.

if they did have the different skills such as the skill decks there already talking about it may be very interesting remember talks are about switching Hero Battles this may be a good switch to it. added spice to it. and guilds made those skills and their just for that one area it seems that the whole concept of it is going to waster just to vs henchmen bring a verdant of it not saying it has to be the same but something on hoes lines would be fun and possibility for a new title such as Dwarven Fighter or something. New things are need to keep ppl here. and no i am not bored of it i PvE a lot but this maybe a good style for the PvP since a lot of PvE players are headed to PvP

both polymock and boxing pvp versions would be awesome.

I agree with helix, pvpers can already get leet armours and enjoy mass wealth through zkeys. If they want the pvp stuff they make a pve char, and most do. Things like more fixes for rits and paras come much higher on the agenda frankly, hell sorting out the fixed builds for HB comes before adding this new type of pvp.

Dwarven Boxing? oh that thing folks use to get the survivor title.
GW1 has enough PvP modes already.

I like this idea. Let me explain why.
In general PvP (TA, AB etc...) You are usually required to ping your build and be accepted in that group. Half the time if you don't run a popular wiki build, you are kicked. That aside, lets now include RA in the mix of all other PvP... if someone on the opposite team has a super-powered, overpowered build, it makes things less 'fun' and thing in PvP these days are totally off balanced because of this and you have to run cookie cutter stuff just to survive. And PvP in Guildwars isn't a place for the common PvE player (usually called carebear, but that word is stupid so I won't use that) Anyways I also fall into the PvE category.
Now let’s talk about the PvP idea of boxing. In boxing your HP is 500. No modifications to it at all from items. You can only use the knuckles and a standard set of brawling skills. This is balance, perfect balance. And it would be a fantastic way to allow PvE players to get some sort of fun PvP play without having to bother with the fast paced world of general PvP.
This would be, In my opinion, the most fun and friendly form of PvP there is, you’ll still get hate from some sour people but screw them, this is like perfect balanced PvP where everyone has the same skill level.

Wouldnt mind it.
I would also like a norn fighting tournament for PvP players with new AI opponents and PvP version skills (no PvE skills). with altered LOW rewards
it doesn't in my opinion...Still needs closed deck RA/TA/GvG/AB/FA/JQ/HA, 6 team RA, 8 team RA and 24 vs 24 AB.
Im welcome to more arenas or types.

yeh it's balanced out all they would have to do is add a few more skills and bring a form of it over and no dwarven boxing don't make pve unique it's just a way for ppl to get survivor way to easy. defeats the purpose and meaning of the title. and i like the idea of allowing players to be able to go there better from PvE. most of the players in PvE ant skilled enough to go in groups in PvP. such as heroes accent u ant got a rank gl getting into a good group. the ranked world of PvP this would open a door to allow PvEer to PvP and a insight to PvPer to Pve style of fight but still PvP. even have it so the higher the rank in dwarven u could have more dmg in your skills

not even close t enough u can count them on two hands or less if GW2 is geared as a solo style open party ppl need to get use to playing solo in the pvp now to make it easier of a transaction later on face it ppl hate big change slowly better and not many PvE player can do good in PvP

Apparently the next big GW update will be more PvP-focussed, so maybe PvP polymock and boxing will be part of it. Maybe add gamer points for wins?

boy, do i hate wrong title naming.

The writing is what makes Killy's quest fun.
"You're insane, Kilroy. I love it."
"Holy frozen beards, that's Kilroy Stonekin!"
"Kilroy Stonekin! I still owe him money. Run for it!"
"Kilroy Stonekin, ya son of a Yakslapper!"
"Mahgma Said Knock You Out"
"Say Goodbye To Your Teeth!"
There is absolutely NOTHING that makes Poly fun.

I would like to see a new festival added related to Dwarven, Norn, and Asuran. PvP version of Dwarven Boxing, Norn Tournament style, and PvP of Polymock could be open up on these days and maybe a ladder system that a reward could be given for the top 5 players per district. This way there is a reward everybody wants and since it is only open during festival times it does not become old.
I would also change the way Polymock works so that a player must select 1 white, 1 purple, and 1 gold.

Well, if everyone gets the same build and stats, that would be actually balanced.
But imagine everyone getting up again and again... the get up skill would have to be replaced by something else, or get a recharge to stop spamming so it becomes harder to get up.
Once that is done, all that is left is setting an arena, some extra rules...
And make it a FESTIVAL arena.
Wintersday would be a good choice to start. And maybe also for Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Pirates like to brawl.
But, of course, ONLY as a festival arena.

Boxing.. still don think it should
And Poke...i mean Polymock honestly.... you do realize.. that pieces are not identicly powerfull
It will wind up to being who gotz the best piece..... If you can customize them just like builds then maybe but then again it becomes a GAMEBOY knock off... Lets Keep Pokedums (I know getting older and older Pokemon no longer fun) on their native land of GBA and DS with some WII and gamecube -_-
