You must have Wary Stance active while you activate Whirlwind Attack. Watch a video.

ok thanks for the tip, i'm pretty sure i have wary stance active though everytime I use it. Another problem I'm running into is hitting whirling attack and all the nestlings have like 10hp left and scatter. Any solutions to this? Try to aggro more?

I've been using a D/E variant with Sliver Armor instead, and it worked pretty well. Managed to kill the whole group and the boss too, and it was quite fast as well. Might give it a try. Whisper me in-game if you're interested and I'll find you a template

Well i run as W/D but its the same thing. Took some practise to get right but its v.quick.
I suspect 1 of 2 two things
1) Lag
2) Targetting something else before you attack.
Basically (and ive had this happen lots of times) if you lag or target a raptor that isnt adjacent, whirling wont work.
Ive got my skills in order of activation but basically similar to the PvX, 5,6,7,C,8
to be honest you can do C whenever you've stopped in a spot before whirlwind really.
That should sort it though

When you first use Wary Stance do a normal hit on one of the Raptors with Critical Defense then hit Whirlwind Attack straight after.
You'll kill them all every time doing that.

The HP problem is most likely that you aren't aggroing enough raptors, or that they don't have Critical defenses up. Make sure you aggro as many as you possibly can without letting your enchantments run out.
