The only festival that has repeat hats is Canthan New Year. For some reason people always get the two mixed up.

I suspect someone was making a shot a tthe Canthan new Year mask offerings... without recalling that there's a reason the mask is the same for that every year.

I'm looking forward to the festival. Time to afk some rings while I sleep and then build my stash of sweets and fireworks during the day. I'm also looking forward to the minigame during the finale. Not quite sure why I find that so fun. =)

Normal builds yes, such as the monthly update. But festivals and events usually start spot on at 12 PM Pacific time.

Well, it is the first Thursday of the month, and with not having to fiddle with the XTH, maybe they were trying to surprise us.

I don't know; just sort of speculating here. And yes, I agree most events start at noon pacific. However, I'm pretty sure in previous event announcements on the GW site, if they had a set time, they gave it. When the event started after a new build they didn't specify a time, only stated that it would be live after the new build.

Of course, it could be something as simple as their clocks are off. Who knows.

...GG Anet, as if there isn't enough problems going on with this dying game. Now the festivals don't even start on time? What else is gonna get screwed over?

On the plus side, the masks look like they'll be worth it. The last two have been fugly.

The first one reminded me of alien, and the second I don't even know how to describe.
