what was ur first GW profession and build?

my first character was a d/mo and i didnt know what max armor was until kodonur crossroads mission, i had done the whole campaign until then with my 5AL STARTER armor. i had wondered why i died so much.......... now after one year i am so freakin uber with my primy armor and droks scythe

oh and my build was like.. pious renewal (1st elite), chilling victory, vital boon, twin moon sweep, signet of pious light (first time i had ever synergized skills), aura of thorns, heart of fury and rebirth

First character was a Monk. Mostly healing and running out of Energy a lot.

I used to be addicted to Healing Breeze (pre-buff, lol). It was really bad and I spent a long to time using it until someone finally convinced me it sucked, lol.

Man. Am I the only one who started as a mesmer? I was Me/N and I remember using a Cleaver in pre, at least. My first elite was Grenth's Balance, capped during Wintersday from a boss from a quest in Kryta. I then went on to cap and use Plague Signet. From then on I used Mantra of Recovery and thought I was pro for using it. I still have my first character but I never use him because when I made him I spelled his name wrong, and even though I knew it I never remade it.

my first was an Ele/Mo I used firestorm and flare with others then I realised how rubbish male eles look so i deleted it and to regain my manliness made a W/Mo with healsig + (cant remember) what fun i had.

I had a necro since I was told that would be what I'd like best. I respect the profession, but I didn't enjoy it at all. It was also the first character I deleted.

My first character was a Ranger/Monk. I used something like Power Shot, Needling Shot, Kindle Arrows, Troll Unguent, Banish , Charm Animal, Comfort Animal..

Actually, my most used skill was Banish because i specced a lot in Smiting Prayers, and that was the skill with which i made more damage. I chose monk as secondary because my guildies told me to, but they forgot to tell me that the monk was useful only for the hard res

I remember also that i was always low on energy because i specced very few points in Expertise, and that i didn't use interrupts until my friend told me to^^


Then i made a Necromancer and i learned to play GW..

Ranger. I'm sure i had healing breeze, i had some attacks, troll (yes, breeze+troll), uh i think a prep (prolly rtw) and called shot and power shot. And a res sig.

She got deleted though, and remade 30 months ago, first only to play tombs with. But she claimed main char soon after.

Elementalist and I was a fire nuker. I think everyone should start with an Ele or a Warrior. Very easy to run and get the hang of things with.

E/R, I wanted a water elementalist with a pet companion. I used something like Flare, Troll Unguent, Ice Spikes, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Res Sig, Shard Storm, and Fire Storm...something like that. I know I had water and fire spells, a pet and marksmanship so I could use the bow. No beast mastery, but spread into four areas: Fire, Water, Marksmanship, and Energy Storage...oh and probably a splash of Wilderness Survival to get the use of Troll. I listed myself here as an E/R for a long time

lol a prophecies w/mo haha. heal signet, cyclone axe, dismember, axe rake watch yourself, symbol of wrath, mending (of course lol) i forget what the last skill was but knowing me it was probably Cleave. woo good times. monsters would just hold hands and bask in Symbol of wrath like it was cool rofl. bee boppin around in 1.5k(at the time) knights. anybody remember the refund points for builds lol?

Yes, I still have the template saved in my builds as "Standard Qing". Haha! Half of my so-called "Standard" builds are like that, relics of when I was first learning the classes.

I love how I had 4 points in Communing for no reason at all, used Soothing Memories without a bundle most of the time (would only use Tsungrai to cast+drop as a self-heal), would cast Spirit Light without spirits (MB&S too, for that matter), and used Purge Conditions since I didn't have the spirits for MB&S (later switched to Mend Ailment before figuring out it was smarter to use a resto spirit). And yes, I had no (usable) elite before getting to the Echovald, where I picked up Attuned Was Songkai (the elite I still use today).

I also had a combination dagger chain/mm N/A (was still recovering from changing my planned blood magic/daggers sin into a necro) and a combination Aero/Hydro/Illu E/Me (hey, from what I had seen of the Factions skills using Air and Water sounded like a good idea - Arc Lightning gogogo?), but those builds didn't make it off the island. The characters did, though - the necro is the one in my avatar, my favorite of my characters (though not as played or spoiled as my Tyrian ele, who got her 3rd elite armor today), while the ele, my first character to get an elite armor, cools her heels in the Guild Hall waiting for me to AB again (which, if what I'm hearing about the border being perpetually in Kurz territory is true, might not be for a long time - yep, folks, that's the reason it doesn't move: the better Kurz players get demoralized, figuring that our team must be full of mobbers or something, and don't bother to try).

Good times, eh?

well...i uhmmm...read the gw box and thought "gee they might be onto something with this warrior/elementalist" so my first char was Hacking Hippie with something along this for a build

Started as a ranger... Accidently accepted the first secondary profession quest I received, which happened to be Mesmer. R/Me, I had a pet Moa and spammed phantasm as much as possible, the degen was great.

I completed prophecies then deleted it, created a necromancer and began as a minion master.

Me/Mo . I don't remember the details, but back in '05 my elite was Shield of Regeneration. Yeah, I didn't trust Alesia and Lina enough.

E/Mo, i dont remember the exact build but i think it was something like this:

pretty much laying down the aoe, when energy/health got too low, Ether Renewal then epic Flare spamming until Ether Renewal ran out lol. i'm pretty sure i switched out Fireball with incendiary bonds at times and then Rodgort's Invocation when I got it. And i think it was Healing Breeze instead of Mending

R/N. Bow/Pet/minions =very nice.

ele with with minions :P thought i was pro had unlimted energy

and then made a necro never took deathly swarm off my bar till i could remember lol that skill owned
