Where do q8 drops happen?

Hi,

just wondering regards max q8 drops - are these the sort of thing you would mainly expect to drop in Normal Mode?

Hard mode always seems to be max damage drops but q9 upwards...

I am not sure if that is true.

I have had q8 longsword drop in HM nf bout 2years ago

They don't 'happen' in hardmode.

They only 'happen' in places which have monsters under lvl 20.

definately wrong! I had a req8 command shield drop for me in Cathedral of Flames HM while running it about six months ago.

i had a q8 aegis drop in Gate of Madness NM xD

but only lvl20's there o.o

I also had a q8 AL 16 gold shield drop for me in Magus Stones from the lvl 20 wind riders. Just a week ago.

I've had them drop from level 20 foes in normal, and up to level 30 in hard mode. They are just uncommon. They can drop in both normal mode and hard mode.

Drop from foes and NM chests. In NM r8 and r7 are common but max damage or AL ones are harder to find .... at HM is just the opposite , most drops are max damage and AL but r8s are harder to find. FYI my 3 r8 drops ( tall shield , spatha and ornate bucker ) where in HM ( HoS Dungeon , DDepths and i think Glints Challenge ).

Take it easy bro. Like I said, I could have mixed up with the info on req 7 items before they changed the item generator. There was a post here on guru about a player farming specific areas with creeps level 14-19 or something to get max req7 items.

Seconding this, just last night in Ravenheart Gloom HM I got a r8 Tactics Sun and Moon Shield. It was white though QQ, I can't even imagine what that skin would fetch in r8 Tactics.

Anyway, I've had several r8 max and inscribable things drop, some have been in NM, some have been in HM. It's just really, really random.

They drop everywhere in normal and hardmode, its just rare random drop.
