Remove 10min time limit on disconnected party members
Bristlebane
If a party member gets disconnected, they get 10 minutes to return. I suggest to remove this limit completely. It's not like someone else will come and take their place. Party can decide if they will continue or not after 5-10min waiting if they choose so.
I only see benefits with this and no drawbacks. I doubt it can be abused in anyway too. Please sign this.

Theres 1 big drawback and that is people can abuse this to get both survivor and LDoA.

Ok how?
Only drawback I see is it taking up server bandwith due to the server having to be able to let them reconnect where they were. If you can't come back in 10 mins then why come back. I didn't even know there was a time limit on it because if I dc then I come back asap. I don't go for a walk get a drink and brush my teeth. I log back in asap...lol

I think its to prevent someone from stealing everyone's drops or something if the party wipes, which is why the time it takes for an item to become unassigned is 20 minutes.

I like the idea, in this way people who cant let there computers run in the night. Can reconnect the other day and still get defender title.

Not signed. Two reasons:
1) If a DC member is left behind while the party continues and gets wiped, you'll have 2 wait a long time.
2) If the DC member controled any heros.

This can be abused so badly, plus I bet it'll take up so many resources. If this gets implemented, I bet there will be a great number of people who say, "I don't even have to bother logging out anymore, I'll just disconnect my character here and come back whenever the hell I feel like."

I agree. It will be abused badly.

not signed 10 mins is just enough time what i wish they would change is if u dc is if the team maps it will let u reconnect in the new map

If they're not back in 10 minutes, they're 99% of the time gone anyway.
The possible 1% doesn't outweigh the disadvantages.

Do you see how it can be abused now?

Titles are serious buisiness! zOMG
No, the heroes that don't move for 10min are more of a problem, so not signed!

Personally, I'd rather see an improvement on the reliability of the reconnect option. There have been plenty of times when I've had an internet hiccough and reconnected within a minute (two at most) and been given... some error that isn't the timeout one, and been dumped back to the character selection screen.
Normally it happens when there have been multiple reconnects in the same zone, but that just makes it more aggravating when it does happen (because when I'm persevering when the internet is that unstable, it's usually because I'm trying to finish off a vanquish or when I've finally got a good group for one of the harder zquests... and then my stupid housemate blows the circuit the modem is on AGAIN).

While there are some advantages, the big drawback is that storing that information creates more strain on the servers, and with the lag this bad already, they simply can't afford to do that.

How about, keep or extend the time limit, but instead give parties a /boot <name> command. I've experienced many times we had an AFK person in the party, so one thing worse than a disconnected party member is someone that is simply AFK or is being a nub and refusing to cooperate. I don't know how to use this if more than one person is not cooperating, so maybe it can be when a majority of the party /boots someone that a person gets booted?

Two people enter The Northlands, the person that is trying to get both LS and LDOA disconects themselves and then the other person goes and death levels the Charr. The Other person reconnects after the Charr are leveled and the death level person leaves and lets the LS and LDOA character kill the charr.
