Send and receive Tweets in game, a queue for sending tweets later on if in the middle of doing something, and a way to send screenshots by choice or automatically through TwitPic.
If you don't use Twitter, then don't use it.
In game Twitter integration.

I'm not always logged into Twitter, yes it's hard when you computer isn't very fast, and I don't always have a browser open (and I'm sure other people are similar). So you point isn't very valid.
Also, like most people here, we (likely including you) don't know how long it takes to add any feature.

Guild Wars is not Twitter. They have nothing in common. We don't need email integration or map quest or google or twitter or anything other than the game. Users who wish to use both at the same time may use the amazing capability of executing multiple programs simultaneously. Besides, it's more likely that bloating GW with pointless browser crap would consume more resources than executing the game and a browser separately.
If they do this, I want them to also implement an ingame addition for MS Word, so I can type homework assignments ingame while I'm doing stuff. At least that would be productive.
Big fat /notsigned. This idea is pointless. GW doesn't need to become an operating system because people don't want to wait 5 seconds while alt+tab cycles.

Relax guys. The OP just wanted Anet to copy from Blizzard, a thing that isn't, to say the least, so far fetched. If you don't know about the new feature, visit this link, ta dum. If you're too lazy to do that, then I will give you the short version; WoW + Twitter + ingame & outgame features.
Basically it's not worth it for GW. The game is dying (now all the deniers will say the other way, but this is my personal feeling so screw them) so there's nothing to twitter about. Imagine the kind of tweets...(the one's that're created automatically) : "Character Name just logged in Great Balthazar Temple (5 mins afterwards) Character Name just logged out". or the ones that're created manually : "VQing
, ABing :P, doing some HM missions now lol ...VQing again XD". That's your average PVP and then PvE player right there.
I'm afraid that after playing some other video games, you get a very good feeling that GW is seriously outdated. Not graphically but mechanic and goal wise. I prefer that Anet will devote as much attention to release, the currently vaporware, GW2.
Edit: Wow, got semi-ninjad by GouranagaPizza.

if the devs were to come out and say that they had implimented twitter, it would piss a lot of people off. there are far more important things in the game to be done then twitter. a proper skill balance, xunlai house, large content update.
if you think twitter is something that needs to be put in gw then... your gay... there, i said it

Some Steam games like TF2 allow web browsing in game without being "bloated." Nobody complains about that. And again, we don't know how much effort it takes to add such features to a game.
I do use MSN, and there are lighter clients than Windows Live Messenger. Maybe. Switching between GW and MSN isn't so easy all the time and it would be nice to tell people to come online into GW to play with myself and others.
As for Tweets being useful. That all depends individual to individual. Some people Tweet about everything they do and others share news or interesting finds they've come across. People follow people who they find interesting.

This kind of feature (invaluable to some, useless to others) is why the ability to mod game interfaces and such is so critical. Is it possible for a user to build this into GW?
At any rate, I can't imagine much progress will be made on features like these with the backlog of work to do currently in existence. For those with the desk space, dual monitors + GW in a window is awesome.

Like what I've iterated in my earlier post that have disappeared out of blue; Twitter is redundant in GW. Supposedly if GW has Twitter, you will only use it while you are not playing it at all. Okay maybe you will use it while waiting to get in to next round of RA/TA/JQ/FA/HA/AB but I believe there is a feature which allows GW sounds to play in background even when minimized to indicate whether the wait is over. GW is pretty moderate in memory usage for you to ALT + TAB quickly.

Twitter lets you post short instant messages to the world
Telling Friends Family homicidal stalkers and the word in general what your doing from moment to moment.
The in game chat lets you do the same to people in the game though you get canned for spamming off topic crap.
So if I used twitter in the game I could what ?
Tell the world I was playing guildwars and what I was doing in the game.
Really cannot see why I would want to.
I have nothing against it and am happy for any additional features that enrich the game for others.
If they put it in I would try it out.
I am more interested in voice options either for game commands or chat.
I find typing while playing a pain since I am already using both hands to play the game.
