"New Posts" search not working as it should

First, thanks for putting the search feature back, it was a pain visiting all the sub-forums to see what the latest posts were. However, it seems that the search feature isn't quite working right, or at least it isn't working how it used to.

Since it was reinstated, clicking "New Posts" shows me the last 100 threads posted in. Previously, it used to show me every thread which had been posted in since my last visit, up to a limit of around 300 threads. (There's a 6-hour gap between the search's earliest post and my most recent visit so yes I have checked that there's not only 100 posts to be viewed.)

Is this working as intended? If so I have to say it's not very useful.

I did this for server load reasons, just to limit it to 100 threads. I mean... it's 100 threads, I honestly didn't figure someone outside of a moderator would care to look through more then 100+! I can look at adjusting this.

Heh. I use it as a list of all the recent thread titles to see which ones are worth reading and which I can completely ignore. It's much faster for me to click one button and skim titles than it is to navigate each individual forum.

I didn't see the server running any faster when search was down, tbh, so I don't think it being back up to ~300 would make much difference, but you'd know that much better than me. If you think it'll slow the server then I guess I can live with it as is, but if you are able to increase the limit again then you'd have at least one happy camper here.
