Is there any way for a hero to NOT stop maintaining an enchantment right after he casted it?

Thanks.

on the party box click the icon next to the select hero, and while holding left shift down> click on the enchant you want your hero to maintain and it will make it micro accessible only. g/l and have fun mate.

heroes arnt stupid, humans are. heroes do EXACTLY what they are supposed too,if you dont like how they do it, then rewrite how they do it

on a side note however, i feel they should be written to maintain certain enchantments(bonds, Strengh of honor, ect).

To explain what Majik means, heroes will actually micromanage and throw on maintained enchantments on allies who are actually taking damage, rather then just maintain it all the time, even while out of combat, like a human would. Of course, when you are bonding to prevent AoE damage from hurting you, then there is no way heroes can cast the bonds fast enough. As drunk said, you can maintain enchants by micromanaging your heroes.
