the new scatter from RoJ
drunk n angry
hi all this is my first thread here but i got a question and i hope i put it in the right place.
Anet "fixed" RoJ so that hero AI and monster AI is supposed to now scatter from the effects of this skill. I just recently got into doing JQ (Jade Quarry) and i noticed that the shrine npc's dont scatter from these effects.
which leads me to my question> Why would they "fix" a skill in pve and not major pvp such as JQ?
if they are going to fix anything it should be an overall fix imo. if anyone knows why they didnt fix the npc's please pass that along, and if anyone knows how to get this to anet plz do so cuz it is very irritating when you get a group of mostly monks with roj and there is no stopping that crud.

I think NPCs don't scatter because they are supposed to stay and guard the shrine. I've seen eles cast AoE on shrines and they don't seem to scatter from that.

The JQ NPCs actually do scatter...about 50% of the time, but they do.

What they did was make the skill operate as elemental aoe, consistent with most ele skills. (ROJ does fire damage and causes burning each second of it's duration).
Shrine NPCs don't scatter from any aoe spells. They are paid to give up their lives to stop punks from capturing their shrines, except of course, for shrine monks, who are easily distracted by friendly minions in need of bandages. In that case, they will abandon their posts and pursue in hopes of saving the minions from their ailments.

Don't know what game you play, but the NPCs in my Guild Wars run after being hit by RoJ.

The only NPC that doesn't run from RoJ is Master Togo, which makes Vizunah Square even more retarded.

and ty guys for the answers on this i do get it... but really why not change that as well. if they are not liking the way that RoJ is being OVERUSED and seeing how it is over powered why would they not make the change in pvp as well with the shrines.... just dont get it.
miskav
They do scatter.

Back on topic, yes, aNet should fix the scatter for RoJ of all AI, not just HM PvE AI.

Its like a 50/50 chance they'll scatter in JQ. Sometimes they'll scatter if distracted by another enemy player besides the RoJ monk

RoJ main damage is armor-ignoring holy damage, not fire damage. Burning condition =/= fire damage. So there is no elemental damage involved at all.

Ray of Judgment
Concise description
Elite Spell. Deals 5...37...45 holy damage and inflicts burning(1...3...3 seconds) every second (5 seconds). Hits foes adjacent to target foes initial location.
Notes
Burning is refreshed every pulse that Ray of Judgment is active. Meaning that, with rank 12 smiting prayers, burning will total out to 7 seconds should the target stay in the spell for its full duration.
Hero AI will now recognize this spell as an AoE spell, however NPCs do not.

This thread isn't about how JQ isn't "major PvP", so keep it out of here. This isn't Riverside.
