New FoW sc
Raudic
i dont know if somebody already posted this (but at the time of posting the search tool is still down).
Heres a new FoW sc team build, which i take no credit for making, i just found it today while searching around wiki
the main difference i notice is the use of 2 hundred blade warriors (yay, i can finally farm on something besides my sin!)

It works, the concept has been used since before CoP nerf, the build itself has been used for a while, and it's MANLY. It's also puggable, but a crappy Mt means wipe.
Songbringer
That has been there awhile. The FoC version is a million times easier and pug friendly
IronSheik
Already a thread bout this somewhere, called "Warriors have a use again" or something stupid.

That build is used for bogroots as well I believe.

Also used in kathandrax and DoA. Could probably be done in urgoz too but i cba to theorycraft it.

OMG nerf hundred blades and MoP now! [/sarcasm]
But ya....that build had been there since forever and extremely effective, its just that cryway is by far more versatile and long range.

Meh, you'd be surprised. [agro]'s second run in DoA got 54 minutes.
Squishy ftw
I just wonder why it's called manlyway since you use cons + several perma SF tanks, which is probably as unmanly as it gets...

It's because it uses manly warriors to blow shit up. SF tanks are used because theyre the fastest option. Same with cons. Ofc it could be done without cons/SF, but it would take way longer, making it very womenly.

i believe its called manly because of the warriors. they arent using any cheap tanking skills *cough* shadow form *cough* (which i happen to love )

Enemies should be dead before SS gets off

SF is better, THCS got 17 min run the day after cop got nerfed

CoP nerf was barely, BARELY a nerf. Cryway had so much excess damage it was laughable. Besides, no one has really gone for a hella low time yet with manlyway.

The damage from Hundred Blades are damage packets, they aren't attacks, so the Warrior wouldn't get hit for every trigger of Hundred Blades, they would be hit for the number of attacks - which would be much less than what you are theorycrafting.

if it were ever an issue, seeding before shadow stepping in would solve the problem. Channel_V93 Life Bringing
Also, whirlwind attack is unique in the fact that it only triggers SS and Empathy once per use.
the slasher
ive been doing some t2 runs, and cause many ppl i see in ToA say pug MTeams suuuuck, i have been watching out for their performance... must say that, even though it doesnt rly sound logical, i have been getting more chest runs with manly than i did with the previous fowsc build, roj/cryway.. this may be due to the fact that ive been getting experienced groups, idk, but still.... imo, manly is safer than FoC or roj/cryway, cause one spike (if clean), will kill them all in 1 second (less cause of cons)... while in roj/cryway, you may need up to 3 seconds for roj to trigger 3 times... manly just doesnt give the monks any chance

If your backline fails enough to allow SS to remain on you for more than a second or two and/or they can't cover the damage, then they deserve to explode.
Any more smart-ass comments?

Wiki Entry on Whirlwind Attack
This is of course a moot point for use with Hundred Blades.

No, Whirlwind Attack is not unique in this respect. Cyclone Axe only triggers SS and Empathy once. There are many errors on the unofficial wiki notes for Cyclone.

"On attack" skills such as Spiteful Spirit, Empathy, and Vigorous Spirit trigger once for every potential hit, regardless if they connect or not.
This statement is false. There are at least two errors here. SS and Empathy trigger damage only once, regardless of the number of foes you hit. Cyclone Axe is a single attack that strikes for multiple hits. I have not tested that Vigorous Spirit claim. I am not sure what is meant by that statement.
Edit: That sentence on wiki was false, and I have changed it. It now reads:

That is correct, and I never said otherwise. I simply stated that Whirlwind Attack is not unique, because Cyclone Axe exhibits the same behavior. I'll edit my post (again) for clarity.

Here's an end to the Wiki Error. the 6 SS isn't from the one cyclone axe, notice only one damage from it. the 0's are from retribution.

TY MisterB and Sheik. I removed my post because all it did was point @ Wiki and say Mebbe, Mebbe Not.
