I have NEVER played a rit before and have done a bit of reserch i am either looking for dps (hence the rit/e or e/rit depends which gives me more energy) or healing...but i herd that rits are like weak and pathetic because there all about "spirits" and there like "ooo look i created a ghost..."
so oppiniones, best Healer with rit in it or best Dps with rit in it and why (builds i can look up my self)

Rits have some good melee support and since the buff spirits are effective and viable in pve.
So healing isn't the only thing you can do!
You could run a combination between healing and support or somethin if you really wanted to...
As for the dps, the only build I tried was the scythe rit, which I personally didn't like that much.

If you are looking for only Damage Per Second, then I strongly suggest you avoid the Ritualist. Elementalists or Warriors are better suited for damage. However, it should be noted DPS is not all there is to this game and most agree it can become very boring, very quickly. As for healing, Monk is a good secondary because Rit's lack the means to remove Hexes.
From my experiences Ritualist's rarely use their secondary profession, except for a few specific builds (e.g. Minion bomber, Barrage/Super Splinter) and the occasional personalized builds (having a pet, using Mesmer energy skills). So my suggestion is to actually play the Ritualist for a while on Shing Jea and get a feel for the profession. Then check out the secondary profession skills that might come in handy and just choose one. I doubt you will be greatly relying on your secondary profession, so keep in mind you can change it rather quickly in Factions.
Spirits are supposed to be what sets Ritualist apart from any of the other professions, and while they do have a lot of uses most Ritualists do not only rely on them. Rather they use them to enhance their builds, or meet conditions for specific skills.
Bottom line, don't get so hung up on choosing a secondary profession. It can easily be changed later and this game is all about experimenting and learning. Best advice is go out and try different things. Decide for yourself.
And if doing things on your own is scary and you like to just follow the crowd. Then just go to pvx.wikia.com.

Ritualist just got buffed with the latest skill update and have found their place (mainly in form of heroes) even in HM parties now.
However I feel playing melee support still one of the best options for Rits out there. Usually as with a monk secondary for smiting prayer buffs (att. 10-12) in the lines of:
[strength of honor][smite condition][smite hex][ancestors rage][splinter weapon][great dwarf weapon][spirit siphon][signet of spirits]
Signet of spirits is still bugged (see wiki for bug description) but three spirits at once is reason enough for me to bring it even if it just feeds spirit siphon for my e-management.
Also spirit shitter builds are not that "Oh look a ghost..." kinda thing anymore, especially in a team with minions and other spirit shitters. It really fecks up the Monster AI... PvXwiki gives ya a clue what I am talking about, so does this thread: ArkFenway

Agreed. If you are asked to play a healing build, it would be good to have Hex removal available, and for this you'd need to take /Me or /Mo.
