Why play GW?

My exact opinion. And my guildmates who I feel I have become true friends with.

Yeah, this. Can't be assed to find a new game, and I really don't have much else to do in my spare time.

I thought everyone migrated to Team Fortress 2?

This. I try other games but keep coming back here. Just bought Fallout 3 maybe I'll be unbored for a while.

It's completely different from every other MMO and it's actually fun. I hate MMOs. Could never get into them. GW is so different and it sucked me in.

The game looks gorgeous still, even though it's aging and is made to be able to be run on low-spec systems. I like the focus on plot instead of grinding forever to level up. I like that if none of my friends are online I can still play by myself. I like the range of options in characters, armor, skills, etc. I like that you're limited in how many skills you have at once, so creating an effective build takes thought.

It's a fun game, and I enjoy it a lot.

I play because I like the art design, The pvp is the best I've ever played, and It's more fun than any other MMO.

I used to play WoW from the beginning to the end of Burning Crusade. It was fun while it lasted, but got too repetitive after clearing all raid content and pvp. I quit because I have other things that take up my time now, like the U.S army and my life as a soldier.
The Beauty of GW is you can leave or return whenever you want for free. I just came back a few weeks ago after I took a break when Nightfall came out(don't like deserts :S) and I'm having a blast. I've joined a nice guild and doing things I consider fun such as group farming, solo farming, pvp, faction farming, mqsc, FoW/UW, titles ect


Haha I play TF2 along with Left 4 Dead, Counter Strike, and Killing Floor.
GW along with the aforementioned is great in that you can you can play for half an hour or two and still find enjoyment without feeling obligated to play like an MMO.

Cause of the play time, I never played a game as much as this one, second game I played most after GW would be Fallout 3 and that was only for bout 5 weeks, anyway, thats also the reason I never moan about anything in this game (lack of balance, late updates and so on) you get months of game play for the price of an ordinary game.

ive only been playing guildwars for the last 1 1/2 years for once reason no other good games out there til aion comes out now well i only play guildwars for the fact aion betas are every other weekend so when when aion comes out bye bye guildwars games dead to me

I play it because i actually have fun on it. It was my first proper MMO and believe it or not i used to play runescape so this is a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE step up - thank god. Good graphics, storyline , no monthly fee and a well supported development team (mostly).

I love the regualr updates and events that are made.
Some people think the game is dying but i love it. Then theres others who think why bother as gw2 will be out. I just say gw2 isn't out for along time and i still like to play gw1, not for titles but for fun . I owuldn't play it if i felt it boring me.

My friends, my gear, my fame, to help new players, GvG...

and because until a better MMORPG comes out that you dont have to PTP, GW is the best...

I play GW because I like roleplaying and hate monthly fees. GW was the only game that seemed to have a decent lore and world without fees. Got interessted in it even before it came out, seeing the trailers and such :P

I play GW, knowing that each time i log on, there will be a bunch of guildies online to have a good laugh with, and kick some virtual ass!

Knowing that even if it is a quiet day for the guild, i can always use heros/henchmen to accomplish the goals i want to achieve. But i think the main reason would be quite simply, for fun!

I play Guild Wars for the titles and PvP.

It's what keeps me going.

I still play Guild Wars because it is fun.
