Now that Binding Rituals is casting almost instantly in PvE, Signet of Creating is basically a dead skill. Here are some suggestion how to improve it, and to encourage Ritualists to spend more points into Spawning Powers.

EDIT: Opting for a PvE/PvP split where the following suggestions are for PvE only:

Suggestion (A):
For 15 seconds, the next 1...3 Spirits you summon cost 1...10 less Energy to cast.

Suggestion (B):
For 15 seconds, the next 1...3 Spirits you summon gain +0..3 levels.

Suggestion (C):
Target foe's soul is captured for 10..30 seconds, creating a Spirit of Foe. Physical or Elemental damage to this spirit will cause equal amount of damage to target foe.

It has use in PvP, as the activation time for spirits was only changed in PvE. Although it may be worthy of a PvE/PvP split due to that, it doesn't need a change for PvP.

Suggestion C could provide some interesting options. However, this could make it too easy to deal damage to high-armored foes. Perhaps there should be a percentage of damage that is reduced, based on your rank in Spawning Power.
Either way, I'm up for a change in the skill.

MagmaRed: You're absolutely right, this suggestion was mainly aimed at PvE. Edited original post to reflect that now.

Pony: That's true. If the spirit is based on Spawning Power with usual amount of HP for a spirit, it would probably not deal too much damage though as it would die fast.

I would opt for suggestion (C) myself, always fun with new game mechanics :-) Even for PvP, which would have been easy to counter anyway. If someone binds your spirit, just be ready to counter the damage with a PS or similar. Or kill spirit with damage other than elemental/physical.

Actually it would have been hilarious to see in places like AB. You capture a monk's spirit and watch as his team blindly attacking it causing him damage

Option C would be a nice way to maybe deter nukes targetted at spirits. Bunch your spirits up and slap it in the middle. Might allow spirits to survive a little longer in pvp.

Well for PvE I would love to see it changed thusly;

For 0 to 30 seconds you can create 0..2 coppies of any spirit you control.

This would allow for multiple Pain, Bloodsong and other spirits.

all those suggestions are pretty good. C seems a bit over powered though. maybe if the foe took like 50% of the damage taken by the spirit. like if the spirit took 50 dmg, the foe would take 25 dmg as well.

B) is probably the best option there tbh.

A) would be a bit useless since with Boon of Creation you get a free 12-15 energy every 20 seconds with Signet of Spirits anyway.

C) Sounds a bit complex; can't see it being implemented.

It would be useful for a Rit lord with defensive spirits. I don't think that offensive spirits need a higher level anyway. So I sign for option A

Just change "instant cast" with recharge 50% faster in PvE and done.
Instant recharge would make Soul Twisting useless, so 50% faster recharge should be fine.

It's common to bring MM in PvE and this skill would destroy them. Unless you're a minion bomber :P
