Leeching in ab /report
Devastating Flames
since the last update that change the /report rules there more lechers cause the players if they report the lechers the player will receive dishonorable if half the team doesn't report them making it easier for lechers to do it change the Rules back. no reason for the person reporting the lecher to end up getting dishonorable

No point in having people get dishonorable for trying to get rid of leechers.

yeh anet maid it easier for the leechers no one will risk reporting to "afraid" to get kicked out them selfs
Helix Dreadlock
/report is broken, too easy to abuse, too many variants, too little use in its current state, and until they come up with a flawless version of it, /unsigned

The current system for reporting leechers and botters is a joke. I reported a leecher and he in turn reported me for leeching for reporting him. In Fort Aspenwood on almost any night you can find Necro Flav and F D Federation leeching. They have no fear of the current GW anti leeching system. WoW's system for TQers is much better as it places a TQer's symbol over their head(not a nice one) and it stays over thier head for everyone to see even in PvE if they TQ. The symbol can't be removed before the time is up and the TQer can't re enter PvP for a min of 15 mins. I know the time can be extented but I don't remember how or how long. after 4 years you would think that GW would have come up with something better. I think they want to automate everything and spend no time on it. In other words. they don't really care is the message I'm getting. So just get use to the leechers. This has been a problem ever since GW came out and it's not going away. Thanks everyone at GW.

Report should be removed from the game completely OR changed so that it is actually reviewed by real human beings.
This dosen't even apply at all in game btw.
Should be changed to:
Quote:
WARNING: Abuse of the report feature may lead to your account being banned. |

My guildmates repeatedly reported someone in Ra just for accidentally messing up our synch, till eventually she got dishonorable.
I've gotten dishonorable from being reported (for complaining about my team being bad), but it doesn't mean anything at all.

Me, too. Anet is either unaware (due to Live Team perma-away from keyboard eating donuts) or they simply don't care enough about this. Either way, nothing's been done nor will be done to rectify the issue. Syncers will remain syncing, reporting those that stand in the way of them.

In some cases, I would agree with the person getting dishonorable (ex - as someone said for reporting someone for messing up a sync which the sync imo shouldn't be allowed, but that's another thread). In other cases, where someone is reporting an actual leecher, it's silly.
But yeah, it probably won't change for the better either way. No matter how it's changed it will most likely be abused one way or another.

I like the idea behind the /report feature; however it's rather obvious that they don't monitor it, otherwise there wouldn't be as many abuse issues.
Until they have the man power to monitor it properly so it's not abused through improper use and people don't have to be afraid to use it, I would suggest they simply remove it. It's not fulfilling its function as it stands anyway.

Damn, the most logical post I think I've seen to date! It's a shame Anet is just far too inactive with GW1 and all interactions with the community thereof to do anything about it. GW2 > GW1 because that's where their next income's coming from. Welcome to Free-to-Play MMORPGing, where they don't get payed enough to care and make things right.
Mad Lord of Milk
Leave it as is. Changing it to not getting dishonor for being the only one to report will lead to even further abuse of the dishonor system
