bots are really popular

Today I was in pvp and one guy said the other was a bot, so I asked him figuring a bot won't reply back and sure enough he didn't. Then I went to the Kaieling center I know spelled it wrong ,, anyhow I seen 1 guy said he had 500 tomes forsale, lol how is this possible I tried to get 1 tome for a hour and never got one. Has guild wars become as bad as Silkroad in bot's ?

500 tomes is nothing i got close to 1000 mes tomes some other people might have even more

A) Not all players have chat open or would bother to respond to "are you a bot?"
B) Farming in HM gets tons of tomes.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. GW's bot problem has been dead for a long time. There used to be a lot of gold sellers, but now that the value of GW gold is next to nothing and all the best farm builds require multiple games (which botters wouldn't buy since it would harm their bottom line), the problem is a lot less then expected.

I get at least 2 tomes per Glints Challenge run. Having 1000 isn't surprising.

yeha i have stacks and stacks of ele warrior ranger and mesmer tomes but i dont bot just never sell them lol i should though wasting storage

If you solo farm in Hardmode you have a better chance of getting tome drops. If you solo farm with leechers you get more good drops than if you simplely solo farm alone. That is why HM farmers in Rata Sum want leechers. If you are farming with heroes and henchmen your chances of getting tomes decreases dramaticly. With the introduction of NightFall I think the Sunspear motto was "No one fights alone" however, it should be "No one fights alone but if you use the heroes added to the game and/or henchmen your drops will be dirt" Mmm, I'm not sure what they have done to the drop rate over the years it has changed drasticly. Solo farming doesn't produce as many gold drops as it use to. I think sharing your drops with henchmen is overboard. they get part of the gold when you pick it up too. They also get tomes and gold items. you never see it displayed but that's what is going on. Also, just because someone has a great number of items to sell doesn't mean they farmed them all. I have bought Sin/Mes tomes for 100gp each. You can farm them at Rata Sum. go out one door and 3 groups of Wind riders await you. Go out the other door and the Broodmother and her clan await you. it makes for fast easy HM farming. some people do it day in and day out.

FYI, keg farming is no more. Budger needs 5 seconds to prepare each keg. I suppose you could do it just for nostalgic purposes and get like 5% extra damage, but that's it.

The point is,its a recent nerf,so people still got their tomes from before the nerf.

Yeah but Vaettir are still very profitable to farm, and still produce oceans of Mesmer tomes. I got 8 regular Mesmer tomes today in about an hour doing A/Me pre-A/E-pre-keg SF.

OP, don't be so quick to assume that people that have a lot have cheated for it or that bots are necessarily profitable =P. The game has been around a long time, and people typically figure things out very quickly.
