im still new at GW, and i was wondering if there are any ways to counter the purple hexes used on me? I know i can counter the yellow conditions like cripple and stuff.

Since I see you are a W/Mo, my first tip is that yes, you can. Those hexes can be removed with many monk skills that remove hexes. There are quite a few. You probablly just haven't found/gotten any yet. However, it is best if you let another player who is a Monk do that, while you focus on being a warrior.

If you have heroes, you can get a hex removal skill for your monk.

If you are talking PvP, then don't bother getting one for yourself. You won't find a skill that recharges fast enough to keep the hexes off you. You also won't have enough energy to keep using the skill.

Some things a warrior just has to wait out. You could also get a shield with the +60hp while hexed inscription to help out.

Considering how much people like to throw maintained enchantments on warriors, I'm surprised holy veil isn't more popular for wammos.

On the other hand, it'd be awesome to have a decent warrior build that used pious restoration (2 hexes at just 4 wind prayers!). Maybe something like:

Strength: 11+1
Axe mastery: 12+1+1
Wind Prayers: 4
Earth Prayers: 5
[Warrior's endurance][power attack][counter attack][cyclone axe][burst of aggression][aura of thorns][vital boon][pious restoration]
Even at low derv attributes that looks kinda sexy for a pve build. It would make a good hero build I think. Could drop an attack skill for a rez...

Strength: 11+1+1
Scythe mastery: 12
Wind Prayers: 4
Earth Prayers: 5
[Warrior's endurance][ermite's attack][mystic sweep][burst of aggression][aura of holy might][optional enchantment][pious restoration][resurrection signet]
That looks pretty good too. Throw in aura of thorns or vital boon and you've got yourself a pretty durable warrior. If only Dervs had condition removal too that we could exploit.

Of course, you could go the alternate route and use all adrenaline warrior skills to save energy for you derv skills, but I think I might have to try this out tomorrow...
