I was wondering as to what kind of Axe and Shield would work best for a axe warrior. Im currently using a Murakai's Reaver and a Thorgall's Shield. Also what runes and insignias am I suppose to use for my armor?

Usually depends on area and build, if you're running aoe axe, vampiric is going to be best, if you're doing single spiking sundering is nice.

Runes again, area, if it's heavy in elemental damage, run the sentinal's on chest legs. Super absorption is good for general PvE, and stonefist is a must on any bar with a KD, may or may not have one in PvE with an axe.

I like either Sundering or Vampric

but i favor +20% enchantments last longer vs a +30HP if your a war/mo especially. +20% last longer can add 6 sec to Vig spirit 2sec to Healing Hands 8sec to Great Dwarven Armor.

As far as a shield I use 3 as a war/mo i use +45 -2 while enchanted 30hp always -5/20 and

30hp always -2while enchanted I prefer Strength shields.

Skills like Cyclone axe and Vig Spirit and Great Dwarfen armor are great i like

like to add Healing hands, and for Extra Energy i use Balth spirit or Bonnette.

the rest is a pickem.

None of those times matter because if you're bar has any of those on them, you're not making every possible attempt at pushing the damage up (thus, bad at Warrior).

Just so you know, these suck. Since you should always be in a stance (IAS), -2/stance gives twice as much benefit.

So if you've got Cyclone, Vig Spirit, HH, GDA, and Balth Spirit, you've only got 3 slots for IAS and damage. No offense, but thats a horrible setup.

@OP - read the War sticky.

Ya it do suck if your in PVP or GVG or AB but for PVE its fine, I solo farm in most HM areas thats dont strip enchantments, and find its good to take large aggro in when in groups/mission dungoens and hold it while the real damage do'ers do there thing. Oh ya one thing i have great equiptment so i can go

16axe 7strength and 12HP at max that helps.

Cyclone is not for damage however it does damage,

its mostly for getting constant HP from large groups (vig spirit wurling hits and not an Elite)

this is part of the Griffon run build long time ago where you could gather and hold 30 griffons solo and kill them all. in a few min.

I know other builds will allow for more damage but this is a safer less taxing build and gives monks a break. Generally i dont die much when in groups.

I don't want this to turn into a flame thread, but this is for general pve, not solo farming on a warrior (Bad idea).

Warriors are meant for DPS in general PvE, not tanking, not farming, not keeping themselves alive, that's a healer's job.

One of my (Bad) bars are
OQgSEZJT2F8VRFCFvl7gGWJX
WE, Flail, Dismember, power attack, asuran scan, whirlwind, Enraging, Dp sig

First off: /scratching head @ why this got moved from the Warrior subforum to the Screenshot Request subforum?

Second: 16 Axe, 7 Strength, 12 Healing Prayers isn't possible unless you have a way to boost your attributes like consumables or shrine blessings. Why? There aren't enough points for you to split like that. 16 Axe, 6 Strength, and 12 Healing is possible, but WHY? In order to make it possible, you would be carrying 2 Superior Runes (Axe Mastery and Strength), which is going to lower your maximum HP by 150. Not to mention, for a max armor shield, the lowest requirement you are going to find is 8, so you aren't getting the full AL bonus from your shield - you'll be getting half of it since you don't meet the attribute requirement. This is not looking good.

Go read the stickied Thread in the Warrior subforum. The information there will help you immensely, unless you are just going to read it and decide that your way of playing is how you are going to play, and nothing will convince you otherwise.

'Fine' is a useless statement. In PvE, you can succeed with a blank skillbar. Optimisation is what matters.

Farming =/= PvE. It requires completely different builds and the working behind them bears no resemblance to that of normal PvE builds.

Don't need a horrible build to do that.

Warriors can deal 100+ damage every 0.866 seconds. You want better than that? Prepare for disappointment.

Equipment doesn't make much difference in PvE (some noticable difference in PvP). Also, max equipment costs nothing these days, so 'great equipment' isn't much of an achievement.

It helps when you've got 150 health less that everyone else? You'd take a LOT of one hit kills in HM.

The build you mentioned isn't safer than ones I would use. The second you lose aggro the rest of the team is screwed (assuming they're relying on you to do your job). Also, DSlash/SY gives ~85% damage reduction (I'd say thats safe) to the party, and Earth Shaker will perma KD an entire mob (if they're not standing, they're not doing anything). Both of these builds puts out a ton of damage.
