Back on topic, monks should be able to choose a hairstyle that has absolutely no balding at all. Its just the style of the person. But... it seems as if EVERYONE has the same style for female monks. Its either you have hair, or you get comments like this "zOmfg u r teh bald u r teh ugly."
( And guess what ? Most of the comments come from warriors, which is no big surprise, but they also come from other monks as well. )

Another observation: Why are 99.9% of monks belly button short ?

The real problem with Monks is that they have no ass. Flat and shapeless. Which would you prefer to stare at for hours on end (no pun intended)?

And like like everyone has been saying the number of face/hair combinations (mostly hair imo) that look somewhat decent is depressingly low!

Exactly, I agree on the ass. That's why I love to wear 15K Wanderer's, that skirt makes it look like the skirt is filled with crap, not with ass.

And too bad my Monk is from the old school, where I didn't care about face (luckily, enough to make the hair right), since I was still like "ZOMG NEW GAMEZORS, LET'S PLAY!", and I kinda messed up the face. I still love her though, solo farming, always getting a group, always pwning.

I think it's a pitty the male Monk looks so retarted though, he looks he doesn't have brain, but of course, the Monk is supossed to be smart.

I think my monk looks pretty good. I have yet to see another one like mine even though I did use the buns hair. I haven't seen any asian looking monks and everyone that has 15k tats seem to dye theirs black.

lol my monk has the half bald thing going on. When I first started on GW I didn't make a monk because they were ugly but slowly the hair style I have has grown on me, I rather like it now.

yeah, i would have had a monk/necro if the hair hadnt been so...bald >.<
and not a singel shade of blue....

so i had to go for necro/monk...
still, i dont get the heal me demands^^ they must think i will kill them and rase their bones ^^

(sooo not what the character was made for, but hey, they think necro, so, whatever)

I picked the bun hairstyle on my monk for one sole reason. It almost complety covered the head tats. And then months latter, they made an update that made helms toggable. Heh.

Theres many hairstyles that I think look rather nice when the tats are hidden.

Altough, when making my monk, I did drag bar all the way to the right. Freakishly huge monks ftw!
