So here's something that kinda silly/funny/strange, it's half in jest, but half serious...

Yesterday I really made an effort to get to Katherine in Gyala Hatchery so I could get an incubator for the moa chick egg. You have to do the Gyala Hatchery mission which I did (in HM with a very very nice group, got masters too). However, being a female and loving all things animal, I was HORRIFIED when Kurzicks starting killing the baby turtles! WTF! I mean, this is akin to bashing in the heads of lil' baby harp seals.

Although I'm Kurzick (with a title I'm now ashamed of) I was more than happy to kill these horrible baby turtle killers. Yeah yeah, it's just a game, the little turtles are just pixels but...

So now I'm wrestling with the fact that I really dislike Kurzicks (they're creepy emo Adams family like people anyway, who live in a dark dank forest) and really like the Luxons. Plus, it's so much more beautiful and open in their land.

I know this is probably totally ridiculous to some of you, but really, I adore my guild (I'm an officer) but I hate that we're Kurzick and I love ABing but don't want to AB for the Kurzicks anymore. I'm happy to go over and play JQ and FA with the Luxons.

The only good thing about the Kurzicks is the 15k Warrior Kurzick Armor. Never like the Forest terrain or the emo NPC's myself.

I've been in alliance of both sides, both were fantastic. The only time I've regretted being Kurzick was when I recently got elite luxon for me necro. It's a pain to get the 10k faction, especially since all the quests don't give you enough. I think it's funny that people really get into the mindset that the other faction is a bunch of babbling idiots. People often say what you said: Kurzicks are emo, tree huggers, Luxons are stupid pirates, PETA- like animal lovers,etc. All those things I've heard by people. At least it's on par with the hate the luxon/kurzick npcs harbor for each other.

It's just a game.
It matters not if you're kurzick or luxon in an actual AB. Some people are red. Some people are blue. Boo hoo

If you want to unofficially be luxon without leaving your guild, simply pve and explore luxon areas.

Aw... I find the Luxon areas very depressing. Everything has a sick green color, there is barely any shadow at all, the water is not moving, and the monsters seem to be able to see you from miles away.

The monsters, excepting the Kirin and the Dragons, are all horrible!
Walking seafood? Come on!
And Yetis... nothing is worse than having Yetis in your neighborhood.

Echovald is calm, and filled with relaxing noises and waterfalls and greenery...

The only good thing about Luxons is female body painting, I say.

What she should have done was gave you the spear right away and rallied an army of luxons against Shiro. Not some crap like transporting turtles.

But seriously: experiences are going to vary tremendously. Cavalon is a place where I honestly think I could nap forever because it's so peaceful, breezy, and just purty. I'm so relaxed when I'm playing through the sea.

The heck with the wallows! What about the TREES and the poor harmless Tree Singers? LOL. This is exactly what my older son told me. I was playing going "OMG, they're killing baby turtles!". He comes running over and sees what I"m doing and he like "MOM, jeez, it's just a game".

The whole thing is kinda humorous in a way. Through all my year and a half of playing, I'm killing other players, being killed, losing at RA or AB and not really caring etc... and it's the turtles that get me all freaked out.

I mean, you gotta laugh.

You don't have to do both missions to get past Gyala Hatchery. You can just go to the Harvest Temple, leave the outpost and go north-east through the portal... But I do believe you have to have more Luxon faction than Kurzick, if I recall correctly.

Sounds like you should be a Turtle Hugging, Tree Choppin Luxon to me.

I have never liked a single Kurz group except one Guild... and they actually converted into our Luxon Allience... so I guess they were never really Kurz after all...

Luxon seem to be more mature, and have more integrety then most of the Kurzick groups out there I have met... all the chats in the Kurz territory are very adult in vulger. I have been a Luxon since day 1 of Factions... the only time I was in a Kurz guild (for GvG) I hated every minute of it when I was online that one week... and I am happy to be a Luxon again. I will say the only good thing about Kurz... they have better armor overall... but unless you own that town, there is no use in being a Kurz to get it. TURTLE POWER!

Sometimes it's not what is said, but what is left out or what is implied. Subtext. Which in this instance was both playful, self depricating over the ridiculousness of my feelings along with surprise that I even had them over pixelated creatures.

Hink of it this way, the echovold forest is starting to display signs of life rather than gray sterile like land in which were the results of Shiro's death wail, thus from nothing life emerges from the barren stones and waste land that was the petrified echovold forest. The Jade sea however has shown little progress ass a whole through the 200 ishyears or so and has basicly remained a static enviroment with little change other than the nomadic beast that wander above it's surface. Which do you prefer nature and main reclaiming a wasteland that was lost after a horrific atrocity or a group of people who see nothing from the sea except to strip mine the land due tithe fact that it has become jade?
