I'm not sure if this goes here or in the Q&A section. I'm posting it here anyways
I have some questions about FoWSC. FoW Manly Spike seems to be the current meta for PUGs (I dont have a guild that does speed clears, nor am I interested in joining 1). Since I don't have a necro or a rit, I figured that safest/easiest role to start with is the monk.
The description of the monk on the PvXwiki page is quite short...
I searched youtube, but all I got was RoJ sc's from the tank's point of view
So I was wondering a few things
*Would the monk be a good profession to start with, or am I better off with an other one
*Who do I need to keep an eye on the most? I assume the Main Tank is the one taking the most hits, but do the warriors and the necro/rit take damage?
*Is there any special equipment I need? PvX doesnt mention it (other then runes), but there might be, so I'm asking to be sure
*What are the most troublesome spots/quests? All the quests that the main team does look pretty straight forward to me. I know there is a quest that requires some Griffons to be escorted, but according to PvX, the ritualist takes care of that. Are there any things I should absolutly not do?
*Can I just follow the perma tank and the warriors, or do I really need to learn the route? No unmentioned splits anywhere?
*Are there any guides/tut's that I missed in my search?
I hope you guys can help me out Thanks in advance
Also any helpfull tips are more then welcome

let everyone else take quests, follow the rest of the MT, (Warriors, N/Rt, Monk)

If manly spike still uses a perma tank than he should take low to no damage, you are more worried about enemies attacking your casters/wars. But just following the MT should work. Assuming route is like FoC Spike cause thats what I did first run on Necro.

I'd say no, just because you can fail the group if you dont know what your doing

MT can do pretty well if they are good, if they are taking damage while they are sitting in the ball of enemys, only use heal party. The others should not get any/little damage from agro untill you hit the forest. Its hard to miss, its a big forest. This is where you have to heal the most.

Not really

When you enter, you will see a ghost named "Rastigan," After the team blows up 1-3 groups, depending on how to MT balls, you will get to a building, with an entrance, Rastigan comes along and says "imma open dis gate rawr" so he opens it, you cant let him die here or else the group will fail. Another part is once you get to the tower, its big, you cant miss it. There is the forgemaster. He is a centaur ghost thing. The quest "defending the tower" will be taken once the enemys around the tower are clear, and the mt will go ball some more. Sometimes if the mt is bad, or the spikers are bad, dying nightmares will make their way up the tower. They go straight for the forgemaster. If he dies, the party also fails, so keep him alive too.

Yea you can just follow them, no you dont need to know the route, no there are no splits.
*Are there any guides/tut's that I missed in my search?
Probably not for the monk

Thanks for the replies. Did a FoWSC today, it wasn't very fast cuz the tanks died a couple times, but luckily close enough for me to res em. Run was about 35 mins, not bad for a PUG me thinks. All in all it is a lot easier then I expected, as long as everyone knows what the heck they are doing
