The client starts for me, but I can't log in.

See pic below:

I've only experienced this the last two days. How can it be my connection? I can connect to the internet just fine.

I've already sent in a support ticket, but two suggestions are better than one.

Edit: Update: I decided to re-install GW, see if that helps. However, it has to download everything again. What's the shortcut for this again? What do you type in the target line?

I've never encountered the Error before, so I can't help you on that.

The command is "-image".

Can you post a screenshot, or post exactly how you write it in? Thanks.

For anyone having issues. I fixed mine, so hopefully it'll work for you.

Uninstall Guild Wars completely/restart your computer/go to the official site and download the client/install it. It worked for me.

Now I did a uninstall, not reinstall. So I'm not sure if a reinstall will do the same thing/work. Hope this helps.

Can someone still tell me how I enter in "-image". Either through a screenshot or detailed information.

If on Windows XP go to Start --> Run and type this in, on Vista I don't know. Also this may differ if you installed it to a custom directory.

Thanks. That helped a lot. So I now ran the client, it's downloading everything again? Why is this?

It's downloading all the content that you would normally have to download when you zone into every single zone after a full reinstall, it's well worth the wait to save you from frustration in the end.

Glad I could help

All you have to do is download the client again. I've had the same thing happen to me a few times now. You don't even need to uninstall the game.

Yeah, I just don't know how long it is going to take. It's going awfully slow. Given, I just started it about 20 minutes ago, but it's only at 10%.

Update: So I let it download overnight. This morning I go to check on it and see that it's not open. I click on the GW shortcut, it opens up the client then instantly closes. It repeatedly is doing this.

Edit: Never mind, I went to access it through the start menu, and found the folder, and it works. I guess the desktop shortcut was broken?

Not if you added -image to it. Just remove -image and play as usual.
