The price per elonian leather square, if you take the median price (between the prices the trader buys and sells) for dust and hides from the trader, 13g per glittering dust and 11g per tanned hide square, plus 50 gold to craft would come out to be about 170g per square, which is actually what the rare material trader was buying squares at, most people would probably sell above that price in order to benefit themselves, so you'd be better off crafting them. If people sold at the median price for elonian leather squares, they would be selling at 220g each. So under these assumptions, you'd save money by crafting them, to the tune of 2K.
