Best Prophecies Tactics Shield

Hello, I am just curious. What's the best Tactics shield that I can obtain in Prophecies. Also how can I obtain this shield besides buying it off someone. Because I am broke Thanks.

No such thing actualy,this is not like WoW.
Any skin can be the best.
And the best would be Rq7 with armor 16,but thats incredibly rare and expensive,unless it drops for you.
Rq9 with armor 16 is cheap and common,just go to LA and buy one for a few platinum
So basicly,the skin and attribute dont matter too much.
Shields are moddable,you can change the upgrades,but you cant change the armor and Rq.

The highest armor any shield can have is 16.

If you can't afford a few platinum, you can go to either of those 2 collectors and get the shield they have, which has very good max stats. Gear in GW is more about astetics. Even the guy in the most expensive gear can be beaten by the guy in basic max gear.

you get half (at most) the bonus if you dont meet the attribute, excluding damage, wich is about 1-2 if any lol

All max shields are at 16 liek the others said so you don't have to worry too much about stats.
But skin-wise in Prophecies, I favor the Shield of the Wing or Aegis the best.
It's an oval shield with a head in the center with wings coming out of it.

If its a Prophesis Shield most likely its not moddable!!!!!

Prophesis shields generally are not Inscribable and hence not moddable

unlike weapons, that are not Inscribable, are Moddable.

So make sure any shield or off hand you buy is Inscribable!!!

Like they said go for a 16max armor with req9 thats is inscribable.

You see shields you get in prophesis cant be modded some can but most no.
Most weapons in Prophesis are not inscribable but you always could modd them. You want a shield that you can modd. some of the more favorable combos are

+45hp -2 while enchanted

+45hp -2 while in stance

+30hp always -5/20%chance

+30hp always -2 stance or -2 while enchantment

and +30hp always with some +10armor vs

slashing or physical damage or fire or most everything


the second mod -2 -5/20% +10armor is the inscribable part.

Best way to test if you dont understand Inscription is get a Perfect Savage kit and use it on the shield it will do nothing if its not inscribable. But if it is inscribable it will show you the inscription. (Dont do just abort) this is just a check if your not sure.

It must be a Perfect Savage kit not a regular one or a Superior one as they will destroy the shield and make raw out of it.

false. it could come from the UW or FOW and be fully modable if dropped from chest. still perhaps not MOST likely but still when asking which shield is the BEST from prophecies i would have to say the ghostly shields if you can get a r9 gold inscribable mod-able then that imo would be the best

Just so you know; Players from different continents (like nightfall and factions) can travel to the world of prophecies (if they have this chapter at least). Therefor you can also buy shields from other campaigns if you buy them from players. If you are not going to buy because you don't got monney yet, best would be to get one from a collector, as perfect uninscripable max shields in prophecies are not that much of a common drop.
It might help if you inform us where you are in prophecies and what your pricerange is you can pay for a specific shield. Because if you are only lvl13 somewhere around Beacons Perch, you don't need a max shield yet.

Please note again, that a max shield is quite common in guildwars (just as max armor), more expencive things are only about the looks of the shield, or the rarity it drops. Green shields are probably the best pick for a starter as they are all (except for a few) max armor and max stats. Also if you have beeten prophecies you can get a green item by exchanging the Talisman you get for beeting the campaign. This can be exchanged for these weapons (only look at the unique ones).

Other green items can be acchieved by killing a boss. Note that the chance on this green is very small, so I suggest not trying to kill a boss over and over for some green item. Many players don't want green items as you can't modify them, and only use them for heroes, you can be bought very cheap for a price range of 1-4k most of the time.
