Hi guys,
I'm in the process of making builds for Norgu and Gwen (Mesmer Heroes) and had a question about one of the Domination Magic skills: Wastrel's Worry.
Does Wastrel's Worry end at the beginning of the target's skill activation or at the end of it? For instance, say I cast Wastrel's Worry on an Elementalist, and afterwards, he casts Fire Storm. Will Wastrel's Worry end when he begins to cast it or only when the Fire Storm has finished casting (therefore making it more likely that he will suffer from the damage from Wastrel's Worry)?
If it is the latter, what if the Fire Storm is interrupted? Will Wastrel's Worry deal the damage then?
Thanks

it terminates at the END of a target's skill activation. so yes, wastrel's worry + interrupts can be a very potent combo (wastrel's worry + power spike = OUCH).

Awesome, thanks Moriz for the quick reply.

on the topic of wastrel's worry, let me share my "boss killer" build:
lyssa's aura
wastrel's worry
cry of pain
put up lyssa's aura and spam wastrel's worry and cry of pain on recharge on a boss. bosses have shortened hex durations, which means that wastrel's worry end in 1 second instead of 3. this build can chew through a boss in no time flat. works especially well against abaddon. however, only run one of these builds. multiple wastrel's worrys do not stack.

I was considering combining Wastrel's with Visions of Regret to force foes into a situation where they will take damage regardless (as per wiki).
However, wiki didn't make it clear the mechanics behind this.
Let's say I cast Visions of Regret on a foe, and follow up by casting Wastrel's. The foe then cast a quick spell to remove Wastrel's, but in doing so, also activating Visions of Regret and taking damage from it. My question is does the foe take the extra conditional damage from Visions of Regret?
I'm not sure whether Wastrel's is remove before or after the activation of Visions of Regret.

what i wanna know is if VoR still does more damage if another hex isnt on at the time, or does less damage if any hex was on over the duration. because if say:
cast VoR=(x=35 damage, y=80 damage)
so i cast vor and it has a hex, it deals x damage (lesser damage with 2 hexes.
if that hex ends, does vor still do x damage or does it revert to y damage?

Catchphrase
If VoR is covered by another mesmer hex when they remove it, its damage will be counted in full.
