As you all may know, the guild Rebel Rising Extended Edition [Rawr] has won the July MaT. On July 25th Rebel Rising Extended Edition [Rawr] had finally won their first gold trim(11th gold cape trim overall.) I have managed to speak to Awowa Classic after the MaT.

My first question to rawr was what they did in order to win. A kind player from [Rawr] named Infinity said "neutralize their ability to do lord damage by presenting an offensive threat on the defensive end. Meanwhile, we kept flag control by constantly maintain a kill threat with a hammer and 2 paragons. We recognized early on that unless a team made a horrendous mistake, we'd need to win by lord damage. Our build allowed us to sustain extensive exposure to their lord, without having to sacrifice the time needed to threaten all NPC's."-Infinity

My Second question to Rawr was if you could offer some advice to [DirT] what would it be? Awowa politely answered this question "The very last words from [DirT] were talking about "Our gay dumb build" and "lucky American servers"- Awowa's advice. Awowa then said "First of all, luck is a well-earned skill. And secondly, servers and opponent builds is something out of a players control."-Awowa

My third question to Rawr was what will happen to Rebel Rising Extended Edition? Awowa again answered this saying "For now, there are no plans to sell any rawr guild. Rawr will however, move to a new guild."-Awowa

My Fourth question was “Do we know which guild" Awowa answered this again saying "Currently Undecided."-Awowa

I asked Awowa if they were going to move to Guild Wars 2 and awowa said "We are planning too."-Awowa

I believe the match had lasted for about 20 minutes.

Well done Rawr

To do something useful with this thread, this strategy points out everything that is wrong with the current tiebreaker mechanic.

Servers are not outside ANets control and it doesn´t hurt to have ANet crawling up you guilds arse.

It definitely shows the extreme useless of all the NPC builds if you can completly ignore them.

The tiebreaker is not a problem to the degree that Victory or Death was. No strategy contest should ever put a player who makes the first move at a disadvantage. If that were the case, then the winning strategy would be entirely reactive, and both sides would be fighting to be the one who makes the second move. In that case, no one would make any moves because each move would expose them to a chance of making a mistake that an opponent could capitalize on.

Rule of strategy is to not make a move when it has a greater risk of putting you at a disadvantage. VoD advocated reacting, and then taking the free bonuses that the game gives for free.

As is always the case, criticism is not necessary. A better proposal is the only thing that would be necessary.

Oh my holy! STOP IT. YOU ALL SUCK. I'll clean it up OP. But I can't guarantee a discussion can be held with all the MINDLESS TROLLS. Should ban you all.

It means they didn't want to just let an ele sit on their guild lord and spam damage while a monk makes sure it doesn't die. They sent offense back to defend their base by killing the thing that was threatening it.

Your salvage kit broke Inde.

The OP continually shows that he has no clue about [rawr] or GvG in general.

[email protected] josh 'infinite' and apparently not even bothering to watch the match.

Why did [Cry] or any of the other 18 guilds never get this kinda front page Guru treat?

Uh, they didn't win 11 trims or have anyone interview them?

This thread was hanging on with some serious life support. I wasn't quite sure what to do with it, it belongs in our PvP forum except... well I'm sure you can see most of the response from the PvP crowd (if you've been hitting refresh fast enough before the posts disappear.) I'm really just going to have to apologize to both sides.

While I appreciate the effort that you made OP, it seems few are interested or want this as a topic of discussion. I've deleted more posts then are currently visible in this thread. So I'll close this with a thank you for the news and update.

To the PvP crowd, yeah yeah, I get your feelings on the thread.

Closed.
