Hi,

My question is, does the death pact signet death (triggered when the other ally dies) give XP to enemy? I'm death leveling some pets I wanted to have in my menagerie, and don't know if death pact signet can speed things up.

I don't know, but your best bet to death level is to have two mesmers with 16 in fast casting and 12 in inspiration, put only resurrect and ether feast on their bars. Flag them at your location, set them to fight, and remove their weapons.

DP yourself to 1 HP, and make sure that the animal you want to level was the last thing to kill you. Every time one of them uses resurrect you'll die again, and the pet will gain XP.

That's exactly what I've been doing, just wondering if DPSignet could speed things.

My mesmers: Me/P 12 inspi, 12 fastcast
Mantra of Inscriptions + Signet of Return + Ether Feast

Since Death Pact does not incur a Death Penalty I guess doesn't give Experience Points?, I found nothing about that on wiki or guru...^_^

I was thinking of one rezmer with Signet of Return, and 2 Rits with death pact signet.

I've tried and works perfect, every few secs there's a boom and we are all dead (except the mesmer) but that doesn't seem to give XP, or at least I haven't noticed any speed increase in the leveling.

Death Pact Signet does not incur a death penalty on the user, so I highly doubt that the pet will be gaining any exp from it.

Just one more question, when the pet is lvl20, how do I stop from dyin at 1hp? Now I have to use some sweets, any other way?

Lots of options.

Flag heroes away, have them res when the pet leaves.

Have a piece of armor and weapons with a good health mod, switch out.

Cancel the hero resezz's and have them all die. The go back to the pet from the rez shrine.

I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.

I die whenever I got rezed, and cannot change armor or weaponset becasue I'm dead, I rez dead.

When I try to break the aggro from the pet and kill my heroes the pet dies victim of another group of foes... QQ

It resurrects you at full hp so even if you have 1 you won't die

Make heroes have res signet, too, but disable it. as soon as you get ressed, swap to a defensive/health set, and charm.

Just have a rezmer with resurrect while you have no armor, you usually die by the time it recharges. And flag him juuuust enuff in spell range.

Too complicated. Just run Vizunah Square with a Splinter Barrage build and two MMs + Heroes, you'll gain at least a level per run. Swap out an optional skill for Charm.
