Japanese guild tag
1 pages • Page 1
Most of the ones i see are written in hiragana or katakana. Even so, you would need to be able to type japanese to make them your guild tag, although doing that isn't hard.
And as for meanings, their guild tags, usually just abriviations or kanji that either mean something (Snow-bird-song was one i saw....liked that one) or just abriviations.
ANYway, the only way is to type in Japanese in game, which you can do by going into control panel going to language and selecting japanese as an additional language, and you can then see an "EN" sigh at the bottom right near your task bar, click it and select JP and viola you can type japanese, if you know it. (This is a vague description of how-to...it was a long time ago sence i've done it, sorry)

Points out, that even if you can type in Japanese(or any of the other Asian languages) you won't be able to make a guild tag using those characters, unless your account also happens to be from that region.
Its actually a service some folks with such an account offer in-game. They create a guild with the tag and the desired characters and then appoint someone else as the new guild leader.

What if we wanted to type like that in regular GW chat? I can in regular windows, like websites, chats, ect. but I can't do it in-game. It always goes back to english, even when Japanese characters are selected, it goes back to the big A wich is prettymuch English Characters, I cannot find a key in that mode that is Japanese. Anyways, does anyone know how to do so without copy+paste text documents or translators?

You also need to select Hiragana or Katakana from the language bar, sorry for the vague descriptions but i can type in japanese in game just fine on the american client, just not in public chats, but in guild/team/alli/pst you can type in japanese just fine. But, you need to know the word your trying to write, you can't just write "snow" and expect it to come out ゆき you need to literally write yuki. So if you want to write kanji, you need to know how to read/pronounce it to type it then select the various kanji choices (it matters).......and, do you have GW windowed? you need to have it windowed to select JP while GW it selected...
