Just picked up the above skill.

I'm a level 15 Ne/Mo and was wondering what might be the most helpful skill, Elite or otherwise to go after and where I might find it?

Preferably a boss that I am able to defeat and kill at my tender young age.

Thank you.

What campaigns do you have?
How far are you in those campaigns?

From your picture, I'll go ahead and assume proph, and that you're right about at Lion's Arch. So, pretty much none. You don't start seeing elite skills until the desert, and there's not really any skills that you should have that aren't easily buyable.

Proph is correct and I'm now working through Bergen Hot Springs, Nebo Terrace & The Cursed Land.

OK, so I guess I'll save it.

Thanks.

As noted, elites don't show up until the desert unless you move to another game (Factions, NF, or GW:EN). You can finish the quest to get a second Signet of Capture by killing any Necro or Monk boss and capping any skill they have. That won't be an elite unless you wait til the desert or Southern Shiverpeaks though.

As for elites worth getting, for Prophecies, probably the first available, and possibly the best to grab would be Spiteful Spirit. Wiki and Wikia both have complete lists of elites and where to get them. I'd look over what will be available to you on either of those sites so you know where they are and when you can reach them.

If you haven't completed the quest Reversing the Skales, you can capture Animate Bone Fiends or Barbs from Lord Timot. Neither skill is elite, but they're both useful. They're also not normally available until later in the game.

If you've just gotten that first "free" Signet of Capture from the guy in L.A., that is meant more as a tutorial quest so you can learn how to use them. After you've completed the quest (by capping a skill), you'll be able to buy more SoCs later. For now you should just cap some non-elite skill, such as the ones Nkuvu mentioned, to complete the quest.

Note: when you kill a Boss you can use the SoC to see what skills they have available. If they don't have any you want, just cancel it - the SoC remains usable until you actually cap a skill. (The Boss has to be of either your primary or secondary class for the SoC to show the skills.)

Uh no, I didn't get a free one, I purchased it from the skills instructor somewhere.
LOL, go figure, I could have gotten a free one. Lucky me.

Well you still can, even after having purchased one.

Magi Malaquire is in Lion's Arch and gives you a quest about retrieving some Orrian Tablets. Once that quest is done he'll give you another -- the signet of capture quest. He gives you one signet to test out, and then another as part of the quest reward.
