So i was asking about restoring to factory settings because the laptop im using while playing guildwars just turned off on me mid game. thought alright its a computer issue.
and because the comp was full up pretty much thought id wipe it and play then when it has more space and would play better
but it hasnt solved the problem. it might be a corrupt .dat file.. but that wouldnt restart the computer. any ideas as to why the computer might be restarting?
its not overly hot either.

either a corrup .dat file (try the "-image" command for that) - a driver issue (update your video card drivers) - or too much heat in your system --- those are the 3 things that come to mind right of... try checking into them before re-formatting your pc.

check around your fans or airduct of you labtop first look for any dust bunnies make sure it always sitting on a flat surface. i know too many people who see labtop and think there lap is the place for it which clogs up the airflow and causes overheating. does it get excessively hot all signs its overheating or could be overheating. then try a driver update next and check out this thread it may give you what you need

then id try an -image if all else fails or solves your problem go ahead and do the restore it cant hurt but may be a waste of time
