Graphics on LSD

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. Frequently GW goes all crazy looking, the colours all change, strange symbols (GW symbols) in the back ground and fore ground, all the chat area is usually blocked off in dark colours. You can still tell you are playing GW but graphics are so wonky you can't make anything out. Now when I minimize the game and bring it back the is back to normal. I have a Seanix P4, 8600gt, 4g of ram. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like bad graphics card or corrupted files?

I would venture that if you stop taking LSD your graphical errors will cease.

Could be corrupted GW dat, try a recheck, could be artifacts happening because of a dying/heat related GPU problem, or graphics drivers. Check temps if you can, and recheck the dat to start off.

I knew someone would make a LSD comment...lol. How do I do a recheck?

The first thing anyone will ask when someone has these symptoms is "are you running TexMod?"

I know you're going to say no - so, is your graphics card getting sufficient cooling?

try the "-repair" command and if that doesn't work try the "-image" command - if it's a corrupted .dat file one or the other of those fixes should do it for you.

You have an 8600GT. All 8600GT's do this pretty much, both of mine do. You can't really fix it, trash the card and buy a better one.
