Doing quests and killing will yield double reputation points, but what about turning in books? Anyone know if that counts as a "Quest" per se, or anything of the sort?

Books never had counted so far, I don't see it changing.

It did last time, there was a GOLEM Zquest the day before and it gave double Asura points (saved for the weekend, of course).

Weekends do not start in the middle of the week, they start... well, at the end of the week. Friday.

These weekend events "usually start" midday Friday Pacific.
Unless they say otherwise.
