Dungeon Farming

I've recently come back to Guild Wars after a couple of years (I had quit only about a week after the release of EOTN).

I've taken my warrior through EOTN and I'm wondering what some farming methods are? I know people tend to run dungeons a lot, I hear a lot about VSF but I can only guess that it means Voltaic Spear Farm, and I would assume those are worth a lot to sell (which is odd since there's not a ton of Paragons around).

Anyway, I also don't know the new farming teminology. Perma, ROJ, HB, FS. I don't know what they are but from what I can tell, monks and assassins are the big farming classes right now.

Are there any rolls a warrior can fulfil or am I going to have to take my monk and/or assassin through EOTN? It seems that endgame content is a little more hidden than usual in EOTN compared to factions and nightfall.

Help me get up to speed please.

VS/Voltaic Spears are still sought after as most use them as caster weapons (+5 energy and 20% enchantment lengthen). You will see monks primarily running around with these, though any professions using enchants tend to like the spear because of it's animation and size.

To answer the acronymns..

Perma = Permanent Shadow Form Assassin
RoJ = Ray of Judgment
HB = Healer's Boon
FS = Frozen Soil

(I'm assuming you picked these up while sitting in Umbral's Grotto).

Mainly, yes monks (600s) and assassins (perma) rule the roost for farming. Dungeons mainly are still the stay of the 600s but permas are now running a few of the dungeons (either solo, in tandem with another perma or run to/in a dungeon with a 600).

Since lots of people do these dungeon runs, prices have come down but are pretty stable - the more lucrative runs are Kathandrax (Emerald Blade), Rragars (Dryad Bow), Bogroots (Frog Sceptre) and Shards of Orr (Bone Dragon Staff) due to the end chest rewards in the main.

Warriors really take a backseat for dungeons and, if you really want to make some money farming, then bringing your monk mainly up to speed would be best (I'm a little biased here as this was my main source of funds with my 'lil monk)

Then again, bringing your assassin through the game not only allows you to run/help in dungeons, you can also do Speed Clears in The Underworld (UWSC) and/or Fissure of Woe (FOWSC). These have been about for a while now so you will probably know these vaguely. If not, this is something else you can look into.

I just spent a few hours playing my monk and, I'm feelin like it's not as fun as I used to think it was, so I think I'm gonna have to go with a perma. I've been youtubing it so I've got the general idea on how it works.

And yes I know all about fow and uw, I started playing GW the day it came out and played all the way up until eotn.

Terra doesn't mean just doing UW or FoW. He means doing speed clears of the missions in these areas.
A good group can finish all UW quests and get to end chest(oh yeah there's end chests in UW and FoW now too) in under 15 mins in HM
Not sure about the sort of times people are managing in FoW clears.

damn i must be doing things wrong - neither my monk nor sin - infact none of my chrs have VS but im one of the few who dont get excited over a vs - i just go with my other caster swords :P.
monks as jim stated are more used as 600/smite teams for farming and are still fun to use - i still 55 farm a few places just so i have a reality check an not forget a monk has multi uses.
Warrior id suggest searching thru forum for discordway , sabway , and i forget the name but its a 2 n/rt and 1 rt hero build.The latter i used recently as a tester and quite enjoyed it and im going to use it on my title chr who needs to do eotn.
Id suggest checking those out and trying them then judging yourself which you prefer as always ppl will diss one and rave the other ( tho the last build with hench added an myself as sin got me doing mount qinkai vq in 30 mins which for first time try is pretty gd i reckon )
