Loading Maps - Help Apreciated

Hello everyone!

So about 2 months ago,i start having the folowing problem witch persists till today in my parents house (notice that in my house i dont have this problems and i can play gw w/o troubles of any kind):


when i start GW client i enter the loging thingy and i type my acc name and password correctly, then i pass to the character selection pane. Till here all good, no lags, no problems with loadings or any other stuff you my think of. When i chose my character, if the character is in RA for instance, i will get 100% files complete but the RA outpost map wont load or, if it loads in rare ocasions, i will have ping in this range: 1000 - 15000 ms and 56 - 60 fps (i have vertical sync enabled yes) constantly. However sometimes i dont have this lag and if i try to enter in a RA match 3 things can happen: 1. Or the map will not load in witch case i will have 100% files complete but the map simply wont load; 2. Or the map will load and i will be able to see only my self in the map but i wont move with pings on the order: 1000 - 15000 ms; 3. Or the map will load and i see my self and all my party but my ping is in the range: 1000 - 15000 ms.

I tried to experiment this stuff in pve maps and happens similar stuff.
I can play GW from 8 am till 5 pm (GMT times) without any kind of trouble. After 6 pm the problems start!
I tried to play other MMPORGS after 6 pm GMT and nothing similar to i described happens, i can surf the internet and check e-mails also w/o any kind of trouble.

So my questions are: How can i fix this, in order to play GW after 6 pm GMT? Is this a GW problem? Is it my ISP problem? Is it a problem related to the conection between my ISP server and GW server?

I apreciate any help you can give me and i apologise for mybad english or confusing statement construction. If needed i will try to explain it again...just ask for it.

Wireless connection?

My Internet connection is made by cable via Modem. no wireless in my parents house.

If more info is need pls ask for it...

Are you using the same computer in both places - parent's and home?

If not, perhaps your parent's computer has a virus scan scheduled for 6pm daily.

If it's cable access, it could be someone is hogging the bandwidth by downloading large amounts through Bittorrent or whatever. They get home at 6pm and turn on their computer and bam! I know that when my son is here, his computer will often royally screw my GW if he's download TV shows or whatever.

Yeah i'm using same computer in my home and in my parents home. i'm not downloading any stuff while i play gw =|

Some people have an option with a ISP to get a vastly increased connection on non peak times.. say 11pm-4pm(obviously includes the night time) And then on peak times its vastly decreased. might be enough to surf the net on and stuff.. but not play gams.

I dont have this option enabled on my ISP and i never did. Its the first time, since i haave this service that this weird stuff is happening.
Shall i go talk to my ISp and try to work out the problem with them? Or they will turn on me saying i have virus or some shitware on my computer(sorry the expression) ?

Might be a bit late to post here but you're not the only one with that problem.
About around the same time i started to have the same problem as you.
So as i "play" a little to much with my pc i though something i did was the cause of the problem.
I reinstalled gw but didn't work.
Formatted pc + tried 3 different routers resolved my problem for a while.
Just now the problem started again...
By now i already formatted my pc 3 times this past 2 months, downloaded the .dat file like 5/6 times and even if i'm directly connected to the modem i can't connect most of the time...
I got some problems with my isp server, i should have 30Mb/s but only get 10, but still that should be more than enough to play.
And i don't think that the isp is to blame since other mmorpgs aren't affected at all by the "available playing time" bug.
Normally i also don't download while playing but even if i do i usually don't even get latency above 700 in the worst cases.
Anyway is there anything else to do that i'm missing?
