The Ultimate Guide to Consets - And how to cash in.
harrow17453
Introduction
What will this guide do for me? Well it will show you what is needed to create a conset (in sets of 5), how to obtain the needed materials, and demonstrates builds that I feel are the fastest for obtaining said materials. Except bone...1.5k for a stack of bone is nothing...I do supply a build but it is by no means fast, just fun to run every once in a while. Now that you know how to get consets, we will explore how consets can make you RICH.
Requirements (for my builds)
1. You need EOTN - Duh
2. A well rounded Sin
3. A lovely Elementalist
4. TIME.
What is a Conset?
Most of us here know and love the conset, but if you are one of the unlucky few who do not know what a conset is, I shall enlighten you. Consets are consumable items that a lot of popular team builds (such as UWSC, FOWSC, and others) use to obtain top end drops.
A conset is made up of 1 Essence of Celerity, 1 Armor of Salvation, and 1 Grail of Might. In this thread we will be making consets in groups of 5. Meaning that for our farms we are aiming for...
500 Iron
500 Dust
250 Bone
250 Feathers
Seems like a lot doesn't it? Well it will go by fast. You will also need 15 skill points and 3,750g to actually craft them. So to the nitty gritty.
Farming IRON
Uggghhh.... This is hands down the WORST material you will have to farm. Iron is obtained from salvaging metal weapons, such as swords or axes. When farming for iron I recommend using standard salvaging kits so you don't get unwanted rare materials. The build that I have found to be the fastest at accumulating 500 iron is the good old trusty kegway....without the keg of course. Usually the HM vaetirr's drop a good bit of highlander blades, that paired with the fact that the monsters are right beside a zone and presto, iron farming.
The build I use is A/me perma.

Farming DUST
This material is one of my favorites to farm because it usually drops in stacks of 30. You will be killing Fog Nightmares outside of Temple of Ages. I know there are a staggering amount of builds out there for the fogs but this is the one I think is the swiftest.
The build is E/mo (slash slash )

Exit TOA and head east towards the Cursed Lands zone. Once you get to the rez shrine there head south and kill all the fogs along the way. Follow the map in the video below. Remember to die and rezone so you can do multiple runs.
Killing - Precast 6, 7, 8 obviously and right before aggro cast glyph of resto. Aggro and wait for them to bunch up then cast 2, 3, 4, 5 and pick up loot.
How it works - Fogs are basically sacrificial spike builds so you use glyph of restoration to give yourself a counter spike of health (200+ for each spell) and do massive damage at the same time.

Farming BONE
Honestly there is no reason you should farm bone. As cheap as it is right now just go to spamadon and buy a stack for 1.5k. If you insist though, farming bone is as easy as stepping outside Bergen Hotsprings with a 55 monk. But in the interest of completion, here is a Ele bone farm in Gates of Kryta.

Meh, enter mission then take first left. Drag against the northmost ledge to spawn more mobs, check video for this. Follow path and just before aggroing the mob cast kinetic followed by Stoneflesh. Keep kinetic up with HB and kill the first small group of graspings. Then a flood of mobs will head your way. Ball them up and take them out.

Farming FEATHERS
This is another one of my favorites. This build alone can net you around 20k an hour, but you get more out of it making consets. I know there are a TON of feather farming builds and 3 different popular locations. This one is from SeiTung Harbor. I'm proud of this build because it clears the zone in 9 mins per run.

Making the Consets
Now that we have the materials required for making the consets, where do you go next? Well in short...
Rata Sum - Essence of Celerity
Gunner's Hold - Grail of Might
Central Transfer Chamber - Armor of Salvation
As said before you need 15 skill points and 3,750g
I have 5 consets....now what?
Glad you asked! There are 3 different things you can do to profit from you hard work. They are...
1. Sell them for 8k a piece - (40k)
2. Start UWSC groups charging 1k per person - (35k and 5 runs of UWSC of drops.)
3. Sell then MERCH
The quickest way to profit is to sell them outright, but I personally like to make my own pugs and net some ecto as well. Even 2 ecto will cover your crafting costs and over 5 runs you will most likely get more than that. Either way, congrats! You just made 40+k
But how does this make me rich?
Well technically it doesn't, it just gets you a chunk of change to start the process. Here is the great secret of this guide. Merching Consets.
I will say that this is by no means the fastest way to make money, far from it, but I do feel that this is the fastest most CONSISTENT way to make money. Here is how it works.
You need -
500 iron
500 dust
250 bone
250 feathers
Ok, lets say you already made 5 and are sitting on 40k. Now buy the materials from people in spamadon for these prices.
Iron - 3.5k/stack
Dust - 2.5k/stack
Bone - 1.5k/stack
Feathers - 10k/stack
(DO NOT tell me these prices are wrong, I've done this far to many times to argue about price.)
Total spent in materials = 23.5k
Money needed to craft = 3.75k
Total cash spent on Cons = 27,250g
Now you just spent 27k on 5 cons, go sell them for 8k apiece. Nets you an easy 12,750g. Time consuming for little payoff when you just start. But if you have more money to start with, lets say... 300k
20 stacks of Iron - 70k
20 stacks of Dust - 50k
10 stacks of Bone - 15k
10 stacks of Feathers - 100k
Cost to create cons - 37.5k
Total spent on cons = 272.5k
Total profit after selling = 127.5k !!!!
To buy that many materials, craft and resell takes about 2 hours currently. Because of the constant demand for consets it isn't very hard to make a TON of money by doing next to nothing.
In closing.
In short, there is a lot of money to be made in the conset industry, and now you know how. Make of it what you will, but enjoy my guide nontheless.

With strictly farming...lemme think...If your quick with the builds and buy the bone I don't think it's unresonable to obtain roughly 30k-40k an hour. IF your merching I have gotten 500k profit in 4 hours before. That generally depends on who is selling materials at the time...but there is always someone.

You fool! Now how will I make money without having to do anything but spam WTB Mats and WTS Consets.....
But really good job, guide is very clear and well laid out.

I used to be in this business, it is good. Helps to have a lot of spare skill points to start out with. Another pro tip: Deldrimor Steel Ingot crafting (farm charcoal/dust/iron (usually just buy the iron) - HM fire imps outside North Kryta) - I don't even bother trying to spam WTS at 750g per...just sell to trader for 650-750 depending on the day...still make loads off of it

Very nice job. Will have to try this with my sin and ele.

Now I finally have something to do with the 5k bones ive gotten from CoF

How often do people actually buy Consets, though? I sit in ToA every so often, and I only see people selling the Consets, never buying. How fast can you sell these?

First, I think this is a very well-written guide and I'm thinking of making an investment in this, then selling the consets for large profits. I know you don't want a discussion on prices, but I'm sitting in American D1 of Kamadan right now, and I see iron at 5k a stack and dust at 3.5k. If the prices are consistently 25%+ higher, then the profit margins considerably decrease, and this "farm" falls back down to earth...

Very nice guide!
I use a 55 nec build for fog/dust farming but im sure to try yours
can u plz show pics or route area for your feather farm?
i am currently farming outside LA for feathers, nets around 30-90feathers in 8-10 min

ya i was one that did this very often...... but instead of fog nightmares to get dust, i might recommend Raptor farming. In the raptor cave, great conch shields drop quite often. Salvage these! A white will net 12-15 dust. On all blues/purples/golds try to use "measure for measure" inscriptions. A blue will give u about 30 dust, grape 50-70, and a gold 100-150 dust just from salvaging. I made 500 dust in about 8 minutes.... Well my secret is out, hf gl

Somehow, I get the feeling that the was the original incentive for creating this thread. :S
im no farmer
If you have a 55 monk and have HM for proph and factions then try Nahpui Quarters HM...when and if they drop feathers they drop around 30+ a pop and for dust and bones HM outside Bergens each time the bones and dust are around 30 also plus you'll get the orr emblems which you can sell for festival collectors
Kaitoa
Thnx for this guide m8. Ireally like the feather farm, farmed over 1k feathers because I was trying out the ele build, but I enjoy the W/N raptor farm so I just modified that and presto, Im now able to farm feathers on my main char. This works for me cause Im working on my Drunken and Wisdom Titles, so i can farm and drink as well. Obviously, raptors is good for wisdom, its also excellent for dust and good also for iron since it drops alot of those reaver axes.
Lastly I went to Toa yesterday to sell, even before I could post someone was asking for Consets for 8k, so it didnt take long to sell at all

harrow, this is simply a great guide. Thanks.
One question, maybe I missed it. A critical component of a conset is a skill point. So, yeah, I've got tons of skill points but suppose I wanted to "farm" skill points.
What is the best two or three ways to do that? What scrolls would you recommend for skill point farming? That sort of thing.

@Wilebill. If you're being serious then that's slightly worrying..... but at any rate vaetir farm in HM is more than decent exp, hence the reason why it used to be the legendary survivor run for the professions that could. It is easily done, as well as having the advantage of decent drops, being one of the mentioned farms and you being able to kill and quickly re-zone. As for scrolls, don't waste your money really, the exp is decent enough that you should level about once per zone.... I mean don't quote me on that, but roughly a skill point each time if not more.
Hope that answers your question, plus, stating the obvious: but if you're doing that farm for iron anyway then you'll get ample skill points during that time to craft the cons, providing your sin is the crafter.

Lol, Balt. I was just hoping that there was something other than Vaettir farming. I'm so tired of Vaettir farming. Raptors is not high on my list of things I like to do either.
