Are low req items worth anything?
KIDGOOCH
I just found a gold req 5 hammer with decent stats (+15 dmg/ench, +29 health) non-inscr, and non-max (14-24, I think). Is here a market for these things or should I dump and move on? I know not being max is an issue but being gold and req 5 stood out to me.

subarucar
Only if its max damage
Some that are 1 off max damage/armour/energy and r6/7 can be worth a little, but still not much.

It's merchant fodder. About the only people looking for anything like that are new characters without the stats for a max weapon yet. You might be able to sell it for a bit more than the merchant would offer, but you'd have to spend a LOT of time trying to find a buyer.
The only good thing about a gold weapon like that is that it may have a max mod on it that you can salvage to use or sell.

Whenever I find nice low level weapons, I usually just give them away in starter areas.
There is always tons of players asking for free weapons or good starter weapons in the beginning areas. Or you can just vendor it after you've salvaged anything good off it.
