Thinking of getting back into GW. Should I?

Well I lost my account due to a hack back right after EOTN was released and now down the line I want to get back into it. So I saw on Newegg.com that all Campaigns were $50 Combined. I have $50 to spend on me and I was torn between COD4+DoD:Source or GW. I'm leaning toward GW because of how much fun the game is. So tell me, is it worth coming back into? I've played since GW was released. So I'm knowledgeable about the game. I always was on the PvE side more.

I am still playing after 3-4 years, and it is still fun to me. EOTN has a lot of repeatable content that I still greatly enjoy. I would get it and play it.

Well, the game is pretty much still the same. Except for the big 'April-update'. If you liked it then, you'll still like it now. I personally play for periods of time, allowing me to not burn out completely. The fact that you've been here for a long time is a good thing too, you'll have no problems adapting to the new builds and such.

Best thing to do is just find a good active guild, with some nice people and have fun doing that.

Have fun playing !

your account was hacked into?
some of my friends had their acc hacked into and they sent their proof of purchase or w/e to the support team which gave the accounts back
unless the account was banned - no help there

also you're asking in the GW forums should you play GW or any other game?

since you like pve mostly if you dont mind repetition go GW

I stopped playing about the time factions came out. Started up again here lately and am getting almost the same amount of enjoyment out of this game.

Bad place to ask. More than half of the people on Guru don't even play GW anymore, just stalking the forums to complain about Anet, Gw2, bad updates, XTH, skill balance, everything they can think of. So most people will say don't start up again. As for me, I still love the game but think you will get more hours of enjoyment out of Cod4.

You serious? I got maybe 150 hrs off CoD vs 2000+ on GW.

Buy Guild Wars again. If you liked it before, you'll still like it, and maybe even like it better.

Nevermind us, just do what you yourself want to do. Ask for advice on how to make beef stew, and you wind up with liver and onions instead.

Personally if i got hacked and lost my stuff I flip off anet and go play something else, something where I cant be hacked by an asshole and lose my stuff: COD4. It's a great game, I think it was worth every penny. 50 bucks though I dunno, i bought mine at gamestop not long after it came out for 40. There is COD WAW, too. As long as you have enough of a computer to get good FPS out of it, the game plays great and is also fun.
