I thought maybe the artists here looking for models would like this program - especially if you can get w/ your client and get a model

I remember looking at that program to see if using it and Pepakura could make some GW paper models. I got distracted by other things and never followed through though.

hmm maybe, but I doubt my computers could handle it. Never been really handy with 3d models, editing, machinima, videos and the like.
I'm gonna stick with 2d art for now

If I need textures, I suppose I can extract using texmod.

quality of textures looks pretty low on the youtube video

3D ripping is a relatively new thing, so the mainstream doesn't know about it and can't realize how valuable it is. Printscreen is the only ripping program of the 3 that exist (3D Ripper DX, GLIntercept, Printscreen) that I can use. This is because I don't have a video card in my laptop. If you can run Guild Wars, you can rip with Printscreen.

Once you've obtained models, theres no limit to what you can do with them. You can animate and video-edit them into machinimas. You can port them to other games. Basically anything you can do with 3D graphics.

I've done ports of models to Garry's Mod from Guild Wars. Unfortunately the Garry's Mod community is unappreciative and there isn't a demand for it. I was hoping the Guild Wars community would take an interest after I posted the "Evil Gwen-chan" teaser. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. If you have any questions or rip requests contact me at my forum http://lowpolygames.muux.org
