Change TA to 6v6
Aeon221
4v4 is a breeding ground for boredom and degenerate metas. 6v6 would be able to support a two monk backline, and would knock out some of the cruddier stuff.
Unlink the place from RA and restrict the glad title to TA. Maybe RA could add to the Gamer track or something.

Then... what happens when an RA team gets 10+ wins? The reason they go to TA now is so a few teams with a lucky team composition don't just start rolling people in 50+ win streaks in RA.
6v6 really wasn't that much better then "degenerate" 4v4 play either. More room for a healer, but not enough room to squeeze in disruption roles just leads to a 4v4 nukers with 2 healers format.

make RA 6v6 to, more chance of a monk, and 6v6 random would be fun.

For one the maps are too small for 6v6. They arnt gonna make new ones i assure you. So your asking for 6v6 Tombs.
JASON626
it would be like how HA was b4 made it 8 man.

Second idea: No, just no. Terrible. If they did this there would be even more Q_Q fest than ever.

4 or 6? Why not 5. Costume brawl is 5 and the coolest format in the game IMO.

I like this idea, to be honest. However, instead, I'd petition that when you get 10 wins in RA, you get another 2 party members.
EX
3 4 man teams win 10 times in RA within 30 seconds of each other. RA is so bloated I really don't see this being a problem, although I'll address it later.
One of those teams is split in half, so now you have two four man teams, and two two man teams. Then merge the two man teams with the four man teams, and there you go.
Now, let's assume that there isn't 4 teams that get 10 wins. I have three suggestions in this area:
First) Simply have two teams wait until a third gets 10 wins. Once again, this probably wouldn't be long.
Second) Look through all of the winning teams, and take whatever you need out of the highest winning teams. So if (within 30 seconds of eachother) the win status of 10 teams looks like this:
1)10
2)4
3)1
4)8
5)7
6)9
7)4
8)5
9)6
10)8
we would tame teams 1, 4, and 6 and do the split as mentioned above.
Third) Make it random. After every win, re-randomize the teams. When they hit 10, just re-randomize it to 6 party members that have 10 wins each and those 6 have to go through TA together, with no more randomness. This would require that the game track the wins by person, though.

You would need to make the maps bigger if you really wanted 6v6 and I don't think ArenaNet would do that...
Strife17
this is pretty cool...
RA teams 4vs4 after 10 wins you get 2 players added (from RA, lol)
to go to TA 6vs6
i would like to see this happen
Better Change than those hero battle maps in RA (that was major LOL)

A 6v6 format could be a real handy thing to have once/if gwen and tahlkora get kicked out of HA.
Betrayer of Wind
Would be fun a 6x6 or at least 5x5

Interesting idea. I think its worth a try. But I do think you'll still get the same kind of things you are looking to get rid of.
As for RA...keep it 4v4. You could just have RA teams keep going after 10 wins against more RA teams.

I really enjoyed 6 man HA after I got over the ridiculousness of the change, could be good to have a 6 man format again.
MagmaRed
Not sure it would work without MAJOR changes. With the move from RA to TA at 10 wins, you would have problems unless both RA and TA were changed to 6 man. Since the maps aren't designed for 6 man teams, this is another problem. Having 4 man teams for RA and 6 man teams for TA means exploitation of RA. People already sync for RA, but now they stay in RA after 10 wins? And keep steam rolling the random teams?
6 man PvP may be a nice idea, but converting RA or TA into it is not a good way to get it. Either a new form of PvP using some of the existing maps, or nothing at all.

I think some maps are big enough to house 6v6 battles.
Though arenas like the Sunspear, Ascalon arenas are fairly small for 6v6.
But I think this would have to be a separate arena, it would be silly to transform TA into something else.
Just call it the Zaishen Arena or something like that.

Wouldn't a rework on RA/TA maps to be somewhat similar to Luxon arena map where there are NPCs to act as a deterrent against certain gimmick builds be better?
MithranArkanere
I would definitely go to RA more if the teams where bigger, or the addition of another PvP arena with random maps and random formation with parties of 8 members, or the same RA arenas with an alternate mode for parties of 6 or 8.
For example, by replacing the Start button with 3 NPCs.
Depending on the one you talk to, you join battles of 4, 6 or 8.
The more, the merrier!
But for TA? If you want bigger teams you form in PvP you just go to HA, don't you?

Costume Brawl/hero battle maps + 6 people is the best way to do it.
And it would have to be something other than reworking TA, that's silly.

After ten wins in RA, you get booted back to RA outpost. Saves you having to map back from TA.
The TA maps are big enough for TA format battles. Adding four more people won't overcomplicate a battle with no splits or serious objectives beyond kill everything. Aoe spam wouldn't work without altars, so no worries about that.
I'm mostly suggesting this because 6man HA was stupid fun, and I'd like to see that again without effing up a real format.
edit: Linking RA to gamer title was an offhand suggestion that could work, considering how few opportunities exist to advance that title.

The point of TA is for a greater impact of individual skill over team coordination.
In HA, you can get away with running a build that generally doesn't require much Field awareness or skill just so long as your team build is decent and you understand what needs to be done on all the maps.
Not so in TA. You actually have to be good at running your build in TA if you hope to get 25+ win streaks. Why? because it is 4v4. In 8v8 you have someone else to fill your role to some degree when you mess up. In 4v4 if you dick up everyone will notice. Also, don't blame the format for it going through degenerate metas. Blame anet for being retarded and slow when it comes to fixing them.
The only thing making it 6v6 would do is make it more retard friendly. Plus, 6v6 encourages overly defensive builds due to it being too big for 1 monk but to small for 2, so most teams simply pick 2 and go Lameway since they would rather let a match last forever instead of die instantly.

I have a different suggestion for arenas: remove TA and make RA rank dependent: you can only figth in teams of your rank and against an equal team.
So you have to improve your skill to get the title, and not only wait for a decent team and make points.
