(Not sure if this should be more in Hardware Topics. If so, sorry)
My neighbours just needed a new modem, because their house got struck by lightning. So they got a Zyxel N660-HW (I think). So N-band. They also needed a NWA-3100 emitter modem, to emit to our house, as it also got fried (we have an agreement )
However, on this side, we still have some G-bands: 2 G-3000H modems.
Ive set up their N-band modems, and all's fine for them. However, here, we cannot receive anything. I set the G-3000H so that it would emit on G and N bands, so I dont understand why it doesnt work.
Anyone know of this problem, or able to provide any ideas? We kind of want to avoid our local net-repair-man, as our neighbours kinda hate them, after spending so many hours doing nothing, and charging so much lol
Thanks in advance!

N band routers cannot transmit to G and N specs at the same time like older routers can mix B and G. The router either needs to be all N or the N modems have to go at G speeds. At least that's what I have seen with most N routers.
