my friend started to play again but he lost his cd, so he downloaded the gw client from the main website...
but everytime he goes into a new map, he has to download it before going in, i mean EVERY single MAP! and it takes a very long time to download
i want to know if theres a way he can download all the maps and stuff all at once.. right now we are searching for the cd, but it looks like its gunna be impossible...
anyways, its up to you guildwarsgurumen to think of a good idea...
Very BIG problem.. literally

I had this same problem when my CD drive didn't want to read my GW Discs and install.
Go to the icon you start GW up with and right click --> Properties.
Go to the "Short cut" tab where it shows the directory of where your GW file is.
At the end of it, type in -image (With the -)
With this, it will download all the files used by the game at once when he starts up the game, thus taking away having to download the Maps whenever your friend zones to a new place.

Just know that you won't be able to play the game with the -image on it, which mean you need to take it off once it's done downloading. Just save you a trip back here saying "Now GW won't play when I put the -image on it"

Or just make a different shortcut with -image tacked on. That way I just click it whenever there is an update and load it all at once.

Also, it's a very long download. Try opening it up over night.

change the -image to -bmp after if you like HQ quality screenshots too.
