Well, this might be the most stupid question ever but I still am going to ask it.

I just want to make an assasin (played one before, just new one) and I am stuck at the most easy part of the game: choosing your name. I really have no idea what to take as name. :/ Don't tell me it's really easy, I know it's easy, but sometimes ur really stuck at easy parts.

I prefer something with Xiner in the name but if you know something better I'd like to hear.

I though about some of these but don't sound these a bit too *u know*? I already got an warrior called Lord Xiner. (particular ehh? xD) But I just want to keep it simple.

Dark Xiner?
Deadly Xiner
Slashing Xiner?

So does anybody got a really nice name for my new Assasin. xD And please do not come with any jokes (like: "Take Slashing Cookie Monster"), I am asking this serious and hoping for some serious answers.

Again I'd like to have something like "*** Xiner". (At the *** some title which fits for assasin) But again if you have something better tell me.

@Shrimz: Hmm.. Sounds nice, but not really what i'm looking for. :P Critical? Black? Painful? I am looking for just something powerful as just Lord Xiner. xD Sir Xiner? Something powerful which sounds nice for assasin.

Well i dont know what Xiner means but if its kinda an alias or a surname you should go with somethin chinese or japanese. If you like the dark , slashing , deadly , and things like that you may like Twilight Xiner , Torment Xiner , and stuff like that .

I'd go for Tank Xiner, just so that you never get a PUG.

In seriouslyness, I suggest either Dusk Xiner or Eclipse Xiner. Those are a step above Dark or Shadow =)

One of my sins is named Hassan Ibn Alsabbah, the creator of the Assassins in real life history. Another, my female one, is named Ausuka Chan, which seemed pertinent to the asian assassin theme. I would say just think of a name and go with it, if it sounds cool or historical relevant, even better.

Xiner the Butcher might be cool.

Assassins have a commonly abbreviated name. Figure out what that abbreviation is, and make a pun of it, like I did.

Sorry, I think a character name should be a Name, not some silly descript of what they do.

Now a Smart pun that LOOKS like a name and sounds like a name is different, I haven't seen many like that.

Yes that is a nice Idea.

However, if you want Xiner in it. I suggest using Sensei or Shodan Xiner.

My sin is named Sensei Aeon, and I call dibs on that name for GW2 if I ever buy / play it. The presumption being that it is released someday.......

For character names, I tend to go with something that is appropriate to said character's origin. Prophecies characters have European names, Factions characters have Chinese/Japanese/Korean names, Nightfall characters have African or Middle-Eastern names.

It might be random, but sometimes with my characters I go with Latin phrases.

Examples:

my monk Expugnare Deorum (purged by the gods)

one of my warriors Deum Manum Invictus (the invincible hand of god)

one of my eles Dies Exitium (day of ruin, a homonym for Deus Exitium, which is God of Ruin)

Another cool naming trend I use is _______ of the five.

My dervish is Servant of the Five.
One of my rits is Augur of the Five.
A Mesmer is Siren or Muse of the Five.

Try one out for a sin.... Zealot of the Five (in reference to the original Assassins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hashshashin)

In the end just try to make something unique.

I tend to try to dip into mythology, or play around with words that kind of exemplify what I think the character is or should be like. (Example: my ele is named Glacialis Incendia. I know it's probably mangling something, but it was elemental enough for me!)

Alternatively, play word association games. Take every adjective you kind of want to use but feel isn't strong enough and write down words you can think of to associate with it.
