I can't run out of energy

Umm, this is weird. I've been playing for a while and am by no means a newb, but my Ranger in Nightfall only uses half energy rounded up for his ranger skills. I've been observing this for several months, and either don't remember or didn't notice from before when i took a long break from Guild Wars. Skills like Burning Arrow (10) only use 5, where as skills that cost 5 normally only require 3 energy for me.

Furthermore, I can use these skills without even having the indicated energy. I can use a skill requiring 15 energy with only 8 energy in my bar, which would bring me down to zero, and it would begin immediately filling up again. That's probably more than you need to know, but there are the facts. Non ranger skills like Lightbringer's Gaze cost the normal amount.

It's called expertise read up on your primary attribute.

To be honest: I doubt that after reading your question. That's more than basic.

Read the attribute descriptions at mouse over, Read your skills, Read the wiki (on expertise breakpoints, bow types etc.). I won't call you a newb again if you can explain to me the basics of your profession until then, have fun gaming!

Like others said, It's your expertise rank. And no I will not call you a noob. I didn't even know much about rangers in general till I was 1 or 2 years into the game.
