Question Regarding One Derv Skill

I'm using tomes to grab a few skills by unlocking them at the Temple with Bal faction.

However, there only seems to be a PvP version of Mystic Regeneration available there...?

Does anyone know why, or how to unlock a PvE version? Can I use the PvP version with limited limitations? Not sure what to do...

I've no plans on going through Nightfall again (skill only available at Torment, ugh) with this Derv, but need the skill.

Help?

Thanks

They are the same skill,u get the pvp version while on pvp areas, and the pve version is used while in pve areas.

Well, all other skills I've unlocked/capped in this way are all PvE (even though it's all under PvP) from Bal's Temple, and if they have a PvP version, it doesn't usually show up and is just altered when fighting in a PvP area.

Every other skill I've gotten this way is normal except this one, which specifically says "PvP" in the skill's description (no other does), so I'm not sure why. No other Derv skills (or any I've seen from here) have that in the description.

So, I don't know whether I should snag that one or not...

Some skills were split by Anet into PvE and PvP versions to make them easier to balance.

The skills that were split will be marked as (PvP) in the skill list, that's not to say it's PvP only, it just serves to let players know that that skill will behave differently in PvP than it will in PvE and to take a closer look at it.

Once you equip it and take it into a PvE area it'll have it's PvE functionality.

Ah, thanks very much to you both for the info . I did not realize that, as I've never seen it before.

Thanks!
