am i required to pay?
its bad to sin
i was getting a run for the zen daijun mission and he said 100% guarenteeed masters. his final time was 20 minutes and 11 seconds (masters is under 20mins) yet he still demanded the money i have screen shots where he says 100% masters guarenteed and a screen shot of the final time at 20:11 he then goes to tell me that he has reported me for scamming. only question i have is can i get any type of bann for not paying when he did not do what he said.
yes it was NM i should have known he would fail when one of his heros was a mez that had avatar of balthazar (10seconds) but i thought maybe he had some leet way of running it =D.

You can not get banned for this, the man explicitly said 100% Guaranteed Masters and he did not deliver. You have no reason to worry about getting banned, the guy is making empty threats.
Pony Slaystation
Personally, I don't think you could get banned for this, because after all, the runner guarenteed that you would get master'. If you do get banned, however, be sure to contact support, since you are not at fault.
Raudic
i wouldnt pay. hes the scammer in that situation
xron
Anet may not know/see/realise that he stated 100% guaranteed masters so you may be banned imo.
However as long as you contact support and show them the screenshots it'll be rescinded.

You cannot get banned on runs, period. ANet has explicitly said that runs are unsupported and you run/be runned at your own risk.
lompos
i agree with Kerwyn. Also Anet doesn't get between 2 players, who have a problem between them.

k thank you very much for your responses

Are you sure? I think someone released that they would support runs, at least in the scamming portion of it. I believe it was on Gailie's or Reginia's blog somewhere.

If i was you i would keep a SS of him saying 100% guarantee masters and a SS of him saying he would report you and also maybe a SS of the game map showing you don't have masters on that particular mission . If you do happen to get banned you should be unbanned fairly quick if you show them that kind of proof.

It was one of those 'gentlemens' agreements' which, unlike conventional trade-window trades, require an element of faith in either party. I don't believe Anet frequently police such disputes but I have heard of incidences where people have been banned for 'bad intentions' in dungeon runs and the likes. Most likely due to blatantly obvious leeching or stealing.
If, in the unlikely event of a ban on your account, then you have the screenshots of the deal being offered and not being carried out successfully to which I'm sure they'll unban pretty fast.

Will agree you wont get a ban ,, as technically just an agreement between you and the party....runs dont qualify for a ban
If he did then he has screenshots as you dont know what they guy said if he raised a ticket..
Would not worry about it

I know this is Irrelevant But was this in Normal mode because 20 minutes on that mission in Normal Mode is laughable.

He specifically stated a guranteed time and didn't achieve it why would you pay for a service you did not truly receive...
As long as you have screenshots you should be fine
good thinking

Like every1 else said, he stated that it was 100%.
you won't get banned for this, as it's not scamming because he failed.

Its a false report, you obviously didnt do anything wrong and it takes ALOT of reports to get even a temp ban so dont worry.

Just teasing (tho true) - don't pay him and don't worry about a ban.

Runs are not part of the game mechanic. It's a player agreement, and therefore a completely unbannable offence.

If anything I think that guy should be banned for not being able to do zen daijun on NM with heroes....
But no, you shouldn't get banned for that. He clearly stated 100% guaranteed, he didn't deliver therefore you shouldn't pay.
