Well, im bored and im considering playing guild wars but i dont know where to start.

I got a R/W atm level 6 (my old account was closed for a unknown reason, had a level 15 elementalist with almost 80 platinum from mini pets and other stuff i sold) in Nightfall and i wonder if its a good char to get to level 20 since i see it very versatile as i can use bow then switch gear and skills to those 75% block skills and use apply poison+an axe (found that build in this forum long ago). ive never got past level 16 before and that was a R/Me which werent far into the game quest wise (My elementalist got pretty far, i was questing in Kodlonu Hamlet or what its called )

Also, i got Eyes of the North before and i wonder what it does? i installed and when i make a new char i cant choose it, im pretty confused

First of all, Eye of the North is not a separate campaign. It's an expansion that you can visit once your characters reach level 10. Though if you had Factions or Prophesies, you'd probably be higher than that before you got there, assumning you were playing 'properly'.

Secondly, R/W is a perfectly fine build, but don't rule out playing some of the others as well. They all have their pros and cons, and the one you settle with depends entirely on your preferred playing style. No one here can tell you what that is. Some will recommend Warrior, others Monk, Necro... all sorts.

Thirdly, give the game a go! The very fact it's been running for over four years now and has forums like this means it is a good game, although older, more experienced players are by now a little jaded. Get out there and play, man! I have characters approaching their fourth birthdays, and I still love it. If you've played before then you'll know what it's about. Some of the skills have changed - well, a lot of them actually - and there are heaps of items you probably haven't encountered before, but you never will unless you play.

Ranger offers a lot of versatility, but whether you want to play that class or not is based on what YOU enjoy. R/W can do fine for most of the game, and whatever build you want to run is fine as long as it works for you.

Eye of the North is an expansion pack, so you cannot start any characters there. You must first have a character get to level 10, and have access to the port city for that game (Kamadan, Kaineng Center, or Lion's Arch) and when you enter that city, a note will display telling you who to talk to to acquire the quest to enter the Eye of the North game.

Oh thanks alot, i usually get so bored of characters that i make a new one so i thought a R/W would be really versatile if i could use melee and ranged.
