Post-patch hero minion blues!

Ever since the latest update I've found that my minions are not acting correctly. My MM hero stands FAR in the back with all the minions and never initiates attack on his own, despite his settings. Furthermore, When I call a target, half the time he and his minions just sit there! This is putting a SERIOUS cramp in my vanquishing as I use Sabway to do so. This only started after the August 11 update.

Anyone else had problems?

It's not just post-patch, been happening as far back as I can remember. Switching to Aura of the Lich instead of jagged bones helps a bit, since alot of the delay is him spamming JB on dying minions.

Death Nova is the other half of the problem you can't really solve though, it's too good to get rid of. Your best bet is to get a party that can survive the aggro for 5 seconds or so until the minions finally rush in.

I had the same issue. However as to most Hero-related questions the answer is 'micro them'. Usually I grap aggro myself and then flag the MM into range till the minions flood starts coming in. Then flag him/her back or 'unflag' and pick up the drops.

I am sure this answer won't satisfy you but it is really all we can do at the moment. Not bringing an MM is out of the question for most areas and H/H teams.

It's not post-patch, i experienced it pre-patch also. Very annoying yes, but like said above, flagging the MM hero helps alot. Or u can pull the foes back to ur minions, but thats kinda bad for the other casters in front of them

I am sure this answer won't satisfy you but it is really all we can do at the moment. Not bringing an MM is out of the question for most areas and H/H teams. This is exactly how I deal with the MM being to far behind. I will flag him forward in front of the group and when monsters are aggroed and advancing I flag him with me (ele). The minions rush in to take the heat. I also micro the death nova. I make it where he can't cast it and when the battle begins I un-block it. He begins to spam DN as the minions begin to die.

The other MM's who are not minion bomber have no trouble keeping up as they are not trying to spam a spell like Jagged or Death Nova. So if you use a minion bomber hero you almost have to micro him unless you sit and wait for him to catch up all the time, which is annoying and takes up waaaaay too much time.

[...] As others have already stated, this has been happening long before the patch. My own "remedy" is to set my mm hero to attack and use a long bow for pulling. This tends to cause the minions to rush forward.

Any other problems?
My necros kinda refuse to spam Disco, and you should have see Zheddy with Mind Blast. He'd cast FA, then GoLE and then wand until GoLE ended.
Then continued wanding. He was at max energy all the time.

More importantly, why was Zhed using mind blast at all?

Basically, it depends a bit upon the MM build and settings.
The minions won't go in to attack until the MM targets something or the enemies get within agro range. If you have the MM set to "avoid combat", that only makes things worse (since the MM won't attack).
I generally have something like Vile Miasma in the MM's skill bar so they will attack sooner, and they are always set on "guard". Otherwise the MM may sit back doing non-targeted skills while the minions hang around.
(I also use all the usual pulling and flagging tactics too.)

Probably stuck there spamming Death Nova. ^^
