Hey I don't even know if this is the right place to post this but
people have been recommending me to get zealous daggers and whatnot.
And I think it helps gain your guy's health per attack.
Where would I be able to farm them or buy them?

Vampirics steal health and are more PvP oriented where every bit of damage counts. You actually won't be able to gain a sizeable amount of health with vampiric weapons since you'll be losing health steadily as well. Zealous weapons give you 1 energy each time you hit, and these are especially useful for PvE dagger sin since it allows you to have virtually infinite energy to spam attacks, especially when coupled with a Increased Attack Speed skill such as Critical Agility. If you use a chain that won't allow for rapid spamming, you don't need zealous all that much. However if you plan on using 10e attacks [Shattering Assault] or Moebius spam, then zealous are vitually a must-have.

Zealous and Vampiric mods have a relatively small chance to occur on gold quality weapons. You can also try Kamadan or Kaineng to see if anyone is selling.

Zealous is for energy gain, Vampiric is for health regen.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Simply put.. Zealous if you need to gain lots of energy to manage your build, Vampiric if you want to do more actual DPS over time as it steals 3 life per hit on daggers and replenishes that 3 to you, it isn't much to talk about healing-wise but DPS-wise its good.

As the other said, you may not need zealous weapon.
If you do, try to buy them in the major hubs. Or look for a green to farm, that link might help you :http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Assa...uick_reference.

Tought, you could also try farming any area in HM that drops daggers, EVENTUALLY you will probably find a zealous mod. Or get enough money to buy one from a player.

While theoretically Vampirics can churn out more DPS due to effectively +3 to each strike, they lack the massive energy returns that Zealous daggers give and lose out in terms of sustainable DPS [say you're chewing down a boss]. If you're using vampirics you'll be relying heavily on CS to maintain your pool which results in less overall DPS since energy gain attacks that are practical in PvE all lose out to some DM attribute attack skill that also happens to be much more spammable [Critical Strike vs Death Blossom] as well as the fact passive critical based energy gains are less effective as you go into HM with higher AL enemies reducing critical chances, opposed to the unconditional returns that zealous daggers give. Vamps are much more suited to burst chains which are really only viable in PvP.

So - I shouldn't really need the Shiro's Blades I have (+15%>50, Vampiric, Fortitude) in PvE?

In a related question, how much does the -5e on Kenshi's Butterfly Daggers (+15%, -5e, Zealous, +7 AL v Phys) hurt me?

And there's always Pywatt's Talons, which are an excellent choice for pve and, in particular, a perma.

All good arguments and now you know the advantages and disadvantages of vampiric and zealous daggers.

My suggestion: Buy both.

Vampiric mods are not just viable in PvP. that extra damage can help you clear areas just quick to gain masters (cantha) or help kill a boss. It's more about the effectiveness of the chain overall. But yes, you cannot sustain good PvE chains such as the Moebius spam because of energy requirements.

So what do you do? Swap weapons. Once you've unloaded all of your vampiric mayhem and don't have enough energy, swap to your zealous daggers and start building up energy again, of course still using your chain.

You should always carry around zealous and vampiric daggers. So i suggest that you don't throw away those Shiro's blades. they may be r13, but you should have a minor to cover for that anyways. (plus the blades are absolutely massive ^^)

Get some shiros daggs, they make you look like a boss. The ideal thing to do is to have a pair of vamp and a pair of zealous.
